Good food and value for money. They have two areas to dine. One formal dining room and an informal pub area with semi-outdoor seating.

Menu is very good with a broad variety of dishes on offer. Portions are decent and reasonably priced.

Always been loyal customers despite the odd raw chicken and oily chips until severe disappointment today. On arrival was told non smoking zone inside (which was never occupied) was not available and had to sit outside as far away from smokers as possible in the sun and wind. Thorn in our flesh was the dogs that were around and urinated everywhere while we were trying to have a decent lunch. We spoke to 2 of the waiters who were very reluctant to respond as the dogs belong to the "owner". When we left we also saw the dogs are fed on the wooden deck. Is this acceptable according to health standards? I love dogs but not when I'm eating. The establishment does not look clean. Can this be rectified??

Good food - generous portions. Friendly owner and staff. The more mature who dont want to go clubbing but still enjoy an evening out will appreciate the atmosphere.

GumTreez has some of the best food in the Lowveld. The waitstaff are super helpful, and friendly. It has a really nice atmosphere, too. I recommend the Bunny chow, and anything with their famous onion rings.
