Amazing views, good wine, with okay service.
Starters were good - squid and mussel dishes.
Steak was not great, nor was the mushroom sauce unfortunately. Side note, they do not stock beer or spirits.response / report this review -

With breathtaking and stunning view, I had excellent lunch here. For anyone who want to feel the essence of the nature and foods in Stellenbosch, I think visit to here is a must.

Fantastic setting, advise a booking in advance to avoid dissapointment during holiday season. Certainly focused on upmarket clientel, but if you enjoy good service, a good place to come and enjoy their wines and good food.

Bad service. Chef could not even deliver cooked Fish and chips. No apology no sign of manager. They ruined a birthday celebration and made no effort to apologize. STAY AWAY!

What a gem! The food was exquisite, modestly priced. The restaurant is chilled and not pretentious, loved that. The wine is great! I have never been a fan of Shiraz but we ended up buying a bottle (among many other bottles), it's so tasty! The view is just gorgeous! The service was perfect, our waiter really made us feel comfortable and he knew his stuff, super cool guy. It's just what we wanted to do on our anniversary. Thanks so much Nick and your amazing team!

We had a fantastic dinner celebrating a friends birthday out in Stellenbosch. Guardian Peak flies under the radar with great views, excellent wines and yummy food. The chef didn't put a foot wrong all night. From start to finish all the dishes were well cooked and everyone in our party had good things to say. I'll definitely go there again.

Fabulous restaurant! Best steak and wine in Stellenbosch. The staff are so friendly and the manager impressively professional, kind and hospitable. One of our favourite restaurants during our time in Cape Town. We purchased a couple of their reds from duty free to bring home! Hope to return one day soon!

It was our first visit to Guardian Peak to celebrate a birthday, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, particularly the venison steaks. Having never eating blesbok before, this was a nice surprise. The desserts were great, especially the chocolate ganache.
