I would like to bring under attention the poor service that me and my husband received from Golden Sands Lodge in Krugersdorp. We got married on 12 March 2016 and we booked our wedding night at Golden Sands Lodge. My husband picked up the keys from reception around 14:00pm the 12th of March. When we arrived at the lodge we didn’t have any electricity, we walked around for about 20 minutes and found the db board to switch on the electricity. Then our room had an aircon but no remote so we had no way of switching it on. Also they advertise the rooms with tv’s we had no tv in our room.

The next morning we reported to the night shift receptionist who then showed us that she wrote in the book on 11 March 2016 that the room will be occupied the 12th and that the room must be ready. We didn’t go to reception in the evening as it was past 12 and everything was dark we didn’t know that there were night shift people working there.

The receptionist reported the problem to management but they didn’t do anything about it.

I feel for a 4 star place they could have done a little more to make us feel welcome. I am thinking about reporting it to the grading board so that they can be degrade to the service they provide which in my eyes will be a no star lodge.
