This is a smallish airport just outside George. It is so convenient to be able to fly to George instead of traveling by car. All you need are here, some shops, a pharmacy and two restaurants. Sometimes there is no parking in the parking lot but there is an outside lawn that was made available for parking.

The lack of amenities and food options in this airport is frankly astonishing. Minimize time spent here at all costs.

What a pleasure, polite staff everywhere, excellent service. A flight delay of 45min, I am only too happy about. Time to grab a great coffee with cream and fabulous banting style chicken salad so huge two of us shared it. Thank you staff at Express! Your friendly smiles and caring attendance was so welcomed. Will be back.

George Airport serves domestic air traffic. The airport team are well organised and very helpful the have won awards as the best airport in South Africa. Generally planes arrive and depart on time, however delays do occur.
The airport is supported by a wide selection of car hire vendors, several coffee shops/restaurants, ATM’s, Vodcom, and a golf /wine outlet.response / report this review -

By far the best smaller airport in South Africa. Won best airport award several times. Well equipped and always hundred percent neat. Passenger services tops and as efficient as can be. The Wimpy has a good view of the apron a d it is always a treat to see the incoming or departing flights. Several car hire companies are available.

Had a chicken, bacon and baguettes. The chicken was rotten. The waiter that handled my complaint acted as if I was mad. "It can't be rotten because no one else complaint today about the chicken",she said.
The manager summoned me almost 2 weeks later; and attacked me. She is so single minded.
You should've apologized to me, stupid female!
Rather go to Illy at the airport, for a great meal and service with a smile.
