At reception .I asked to speak to the manager,that was Nabilla Hassan.

Her attitude and behaviour when spoken was terrible.
I am a pensioner and requested pensioners rate she was irrational and replied there was no rooms available .When the receptionist checked there were 20 rooms available.
She pretended that she could not understand me.Everything I asked her , she asked the receptionist to interpret.
There was a 3 way communication.
She would not assist by giving me the weekender rate of R1000.She insisted I pay R1500.
I had to go online to book for the weekender for R1000.

It gives me second thought whether I would book again at this hotel the way I was treated by Manilla.
This is not the first time she has done.

This hotel provides good accommodation for short visits to Newcastle. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to sleep and a satisfying breakfast each morning, then Garden Court Black Rock is the place. Would make one recommendation - if travelling with a toddler as we were, then rather choose a room with a second bed - the double bed option: mum, baby and dad all together on one bed is not the most comfortable way to go. Conveniently located off the main road gives easy access to town. Offers direct access to Newcastle Mall giving you shopping and eating options aplenty.

The hotel was amazing as it has a spectacular view from each room and an amazing swimming pool for everyone to take a dip in during the summer time. Room service is fast and convenient ,and the food was very delicious.

Very nice place. Friendly staff, food isn't great at all, some days they do make an exception and prepare good meals. Breakfast is excellent though. Walking distance from the mall.
