Not the best wedding venue and my handbag was stolen. Although it was later found in the bushes I still feel it couldve not been taken from the get go.

I stayed there overnight last week. (1) The morning when I wanted to shower, there was only cold water (2) Some plastic chairs in the lounge were water logged and as it was not visible on the grey chairs, I sat in water (3) A printed invoice could not be produced (4) I sent a complaint to the Sales Manager and was never even contacted. A bad experience indeed.

This is a great venue for a wedding, however the accomodation is poor and overpriced. Tiny rooms which are clearly seldom cleaned fully and torn towels. The staff are helpful and friendly, however they are let down by the quality of the rooms.

The service was below standard considering the amount of money I paid. I booked the venue for a wedding, dinner served was cold, food servers were rude to guests and served small portions. Staff was rude, I'm not happy with the service and after I was billed thousands for breakages.

We booked for 21 people for Father Day luncheon with our family and extended family. One table was in full sun , no provision for umbrellas. When we arrived we ordered four beers . Eventually three beers arrived. It was like finding a drink in the desert. We then sat down to share a meal. The one table was within half a metre of the serving table,so either we sat down ,and no one got to serving hot food , or we moved the tables.
We then asked for the wine menu and were presented with a very comprehensive wine list. Wine was duly ordered , and after a long wait one bottle of Porcupine Ridge wine arrived-to be shared by 21 people?? This was the total wine supply available at a restaurant when they knew they were fully booked for Father's Day??We called for the manager and she said she would look into the matter and promptly disappeared. Two members of our group decided to hit Cradle Stone and buy wine. Inconvenient but the answer. I do not understand how a facility can be so badly managed that this kind of service or should I say disservice is offered. We certainly will not be returning there and we will advise friends accordingly.

It's 2 months after our wedding and I finally have the willpower to face this horrible ordeal and write an email to the owners on how to improve the service they provide. I do hope something constructive comes from this, I doubt anyone goes into a venture aiming to provide awful service but they must be more aware and more hands on. No-one should have to go through what we did and it is for that reason I detail a small bit of what happened below.
If you are considering this place, check all the lighting. We had 2 lights in one of the massive chandeliers in the reception hall working2! From November we saw this place had lighting issues and we had promises about how all the lighting would be fixed before our wedding. We had one light in one stall in the ladies bathroom working. No bride wants to see this on her wedding day when she needs the loo. Imagine how many of our guests saw this before I did! How embarrassing for me and for this venue. Proper working lighting is a basic service, and I'm not sure how they are keeping their 4 star rating. If only it just stopped at the lighting, there were many other things that the owners should have been on top of but weren't. What I walk away with is this- if its broken now while you are viewing it, that means its broken for anyone having their wedding now. And if it can happen to them, it can happen to you. I deeply regret having our wedding here.

Beautiful venue (we were there in Summer)
communication of arrangements could be better, but staff were flexible and able to accommodate changes with short notice.
