It was extremely quiet when we got there on Sunday afternoon. Being one of the only 2 populated tables in the restaurant felt weird. We had to withdraw cash from an ATM due to their machines not working and we ended up waiting approx 40 minutes for our meal even with no other orders to fulfil. The food was average. I have had much better experiences there in the past hence the 3 star average.

We had great starters there and where looking for a great meat course , but sadly disappointing on that offering, they need to go back to the butcher and find the best matured meat , as they had in the past

Great service, good food, nice atmosphere. Had the prime rib which was really good, the mushroom sauce was excellent and their draught was great as well.

Every time I'm in Ballito, I just can't wait to come eat here. The food is just absolutely phenomenal. My personal favourite is the good old classic hake and chips Ruined any other hake and chips for me! Their salads and pizzas are also great though. They also have nice craft beers and gins. What an absolute gem of a place, would definitely recommend!

This is in my opinion the best restaurant in Ballito. I have been spending at least 15 weeks in Ballito over the last 18 month and have so far never had a bad meal. The choices are plenty the prep and presentation is always perfect. Staff is always super friendly and the interaction between customers and owners are spot on. I always feel happy when I travel to Ballito as I know I will be in for a treat when I go to my favourite restaurant.
I can only recommend eat local to anyone visiting Ballito the food and service just don't get any better.

attention to detail lacking. Half the toppings of a pizza ordered was not put on the pizza. Once pointed out the managed brought all the raw cold toppings to the table. From there the service disappeared. The pizza issue was poorly handle and made a pleasant night disappear very quickly.

Fantastic experience, from the music, decor, layout. Everything just works. Not over the top. Very comfortable. Owner is hands on, every dish came out well presented. Pricing is perfect, everything is fresh. I would definitely recommend everything on the menu. Starters to dessert. Every sauce is done well and flavor combinations are perfect.
Give them a visit.

A very sad experience at Eat local! My hubby had a t bone with tasted like old castor oil after calling in the manager she said the board was old and changed the meal, my steak was tasteless and the sauce we ordered on the side left a old oily after taste in our mouths my veg ws hard I sat there trying to hold my self from throwing up. Our friends at the prawn combos which were drenched in oil After seeing so many reviews of good service we decided to go there however I won't go there ever again over and above that when paying the waiter asked for a 10 % tip which I think they didn't even deserve a payment.
