We've just returned from a wonderful and tasty lunch at Durbanville Hills Winery. There is more than one spot where one can order lunch. We were in the less formal venue which also serves as an art gallery. There are two further restaurants which are more formal. Ambience great all round.
Truly a beautiful place. The atmosphere is classy whilst still having a casual feel. As soon as you enter the venue you can smell the wine which just adds to the experience. We did the crystal tasting which was 8 wines and included a glass. The wine was fabulous and the gentleman who served us was very eager to help us. He made our visit lovely and answered all our questions without hesitation. A must visit for anyone in the area.
Amazing views with delicious wines, they have an incredibly large range with a variety of tasting options to suit everyone's palette! There is plenty of space and the waiters are very attentive and never left us waiting. Really great! We will definitely be back and definitely one of my favourite white wines!
What an absolute pleasure of an experience. We went for a quick lunch and ended up doing the cheese and biltong pairing. Lovely! Top quality products and various wines that can suit any budget.
They also have an amazing view with artwork scatterd throughout the winery.
I would highly recommend a visit to this well established winery.
I will most definitely be returning.
A wonderful afternoon, excellent, customer service, a very special thanks to the Security Officer on the parking. Food was outstanding and wine tasting done in a very classy way. Well done to the Management and staff. Will definately promote.
This place is ALWAYS good, and I mean always! Rain or Sun! The Rhinofields range is amazeballs!
I'd say this has the best view out of all the winery's in Cape Town!
The newly revamped area makes the dining experience much better!
Lot's of open space and make sure you take a D'Hills wine home with you!
What a disappointment this was ! The beautiful views sadly were the best thing about this place. We had the three course pairing menu which the waitress told us we could order 2 dishes from the starter section and a main course if we wanted and that is what I did. Imagine my surprise when my two starters arrived at the same time. The seared salmon and duck, with a glass of red and wine wine. Both of which were bland and boring. The main course (the pork) was marginally better but not much. The wine pairing is a joke, they just serve one of their own wines with the food. It in no way actually went along or enhanced the food. I have had fantastic pairing meals at other places that really make an effort to match the wine to the food (or the other way around). Considering the price of this meal, it was most disappointing. The food was just not up to standard.
Fantastic view. Good wine. Not to expensive. It can quickly get crowded with the wine tasting on a nice day but definitely worth a visit.
Great wine tasting lounge with breath-raking views of Durbanville hills and the ocean in the distance. Excellent wine and biltong platters. Good way to spend a lazy afternoon over the weekend.
Well placed for good views and fresh air and oh did i Mention that the food was great! I mean if you want an explosion of flavour yeah! But can't complain of the quantity as this is the right size.
One of the bigger wine Estates in the the Durbanville area. Beautiful wine tasting lounge with a view of the Durbanville Winelands and the ocean. Great Deli platter.
Great place to go with friends on a budget. A few choices for different wine tastings, such as chocolate and wine tasting. Overall was a very busy place.
Very disappointing, was so excited to visit this place, but as my husband and I got there on public holiday at 2.50 pm, we couldn't even be served with even some snacks. We were just offered a glass of house wine on an empty stomach and waiters will refuse to take an order for any type of snacks due to kitchen being closed. Is it so hard to cut a few picess of something that we could just nibble? How can such a beautiful place can be open just untill 3 pm on weekends? Very upset about my experience!
Amazing venue and a great view of Blouberg. The wine tasting had a review of 8 wines, and didn't spit once
This seems to be a much larger operation with impressive buildings on the hill, but the experience was personal and satisfactory. Instead of posting photos of the menu and food I'm posting the view, which was very impressive for me. Will visit again.
Great manager at the restaurant that bent over backwards to accommodate our special menu needs. Staff was also very professional. I.e. be there when we need you but don't intrude. The food was good and great views of Table Mountain.
