Love the forest, but not really keen on the spa facilities. They came highly recommended but did not meet my expectations.

Very quiet and relaxing environment, not 5 stars due to the staff's attitude and lack of any enthusiasm. However, the rest of the stay was amazing.

I must admit to having read alot of the negative reviews on here about this place. I was a bit skeptical booking here but decided to take the plunge anyway.
My booking experience with Candice was efficient. I booked the 10 sleeper Country Manor as advertised on their website. I requested pictures of the unit however they were not able to provide them. Candice did mention that the unit was refurbished within the last year.
Upon arrival the entire check-in process was expertly handled by Sywie at reception.
When we entered our unit we were blown away by the spacious rooms, dining areas, etc.
The unit has a great view of an open field where various antelope roam free feeding in the early parts of the morning. We were fortunate enough to have them grazing on our doorstep.
The unit HC12 consists of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are located on the exterior of the main house. Within the main house you have one master bedroom with ensuite and two bedrooms that share a separate shower and toilet.
Towels were changed daily and the housekeeping was excellent. The unit has underfloor heating and electric blankets and a fireplace. The patio is covered and has a big braai built in.
A few points I would recommend to management would be to have a complimentary pack of wood on arrival.
Also the activities for kids need to be held everyday instead of according to a schedule. On our last day the schedule changed and we missed the farm tour.
I tried fishing in three different dams but didnt have a single bite.
The kids enjoyed the horse riding and the zip line. The adults enjoyed the onsite spa treatments. A must see is the wool spinning demonstration that was very informative
Being holiday peak period I would have expected the resort to be extremely busy but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. The shop though needs to stock more items.
In the end I emailed pictures of the unit to the central reservations and have included them here as well.
