Great value for money. Alta made us feel right at home upon arrival. The rooms are nicely set out, spacious and clean. Rates are truely reasonable, for what you get in return. Another plus point is, Collards B & B is very well located, thus they are very central to the CBD, Umhlanga etc. I will most definitely be visiting them again, whenever I am back in KZN on business.

This beautiful B&B gave me a real sense of 'home away from home'. The owner went out of her way to ensure my comfort and was attentive at all times. The rooms were first class, and even though I am a highly critical person, I found this B&B to be really excellent with very comfortable bed and pillows (for me essential!). The view from the B&B is absoluetly stunning and there is a lovely outside area to relax and take it all in. The food was very good and plentiful. I would highly recomment Collards and already have my next reservation booked.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Collards B&B. Our host was friendly, breakfast was delicious, rooms were clean and comfortable. The view is amazing! I will highly recommend this b&b.

What a lovely experience. We had a very pleasant stay at this b+b. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. Very peaceful and will gladly recommend Collards to anyone in the vicinity of Durban.

What a terrible experience! The manager was so rude towards us, the paying customer. We found hair on our breakfast(bacon on surtaday and egg on sunday), called the helper , showed her the hair and she took the food back to the kitchen. The manager came to the dining hall from the kitchen shouting "Who's complaining about hair on their breakfast?" . She got to our table, didn't greet and demanded my friend to show her the hair.mind you she was shouting and all eyes of the other guests were now on our table. The hair was no longer there they had removed it in the kitchen . She didnt even bother apologising. And that is just the least of things she did. If you want to fully enjoy your stay in Durban DO NOT BOOK Collards BnB especially if you are BLACK!
