Pathetic. I feel so sorry for Mr du Plessis. He is the only manager running up and down to try and satisfy us. Thus morning at the fruit and vegetable dept their were no bags on the dispencers. They were lying at the point of ea aisle. There were plenty rolls but the staff to lazy to hang them up. And i just cut a swiss roll that was packed out as freshly baked but it hardly has any jam in it and is bone dry but the worst is it has little white dots all over the cake when you cut it. Now you think ok whats this. It could be that it wasnt beaten up enough therefore not all the flour was mixed into the batter or are they trying to poison us with something. Its hard not to think this way with all the things go on in our country. Pse checkers you can be such a nice little shop if the managers stand behind the imcompitent staff. I can just imagine how difficult it is but this checkers has such a lot going thats wrong. Pull up yr socks and give Protea Heights quality service.

It is a quick and easy center to find parking, shop and get everything you need. Prices are competitive and services at all the store are excellent, you don't have to wait and the staff are friendly

The prices on shelve don't match the till price. Or better yet no price on shelves one must smell how much it costs. Management useless you can tell them a hundred times they to stupid to grasp it. The staff are to busy all doing nothing while chatting to their friends to help you, and if you ask someone for help the answer always is "not my department"

Great franchise. Has everything you need. Can sometimes have few tills open which leads to long queues. Safe parking. Has a play area for the youngsters.

Wessel Du Plessis is a very hands-on manager always on the floor trying to make things run smoothly. Great fresh produce, great layout. Long queues and unfriendly staff is the biggest problem here.

They continuously only have half the tills operating despite the fact that it is rush hour and so many customers have to line up into the aisles. one has to deal with a working day, traffic, then checkers which is a long experience to be able to pay, kids, cook, household, etc.
It's been years that they are doing this, but management blame the staff, citing they don't turn up or having a break. during rush hour?
The staff said another story, they cut back to save on salary costs.response / report this review -

There is not a wide variety of fresh vegetables and the fruit always looks old. They do however have a great selection ready meals for adults and kids
