Enjoyed a light lunch in the beautiful maintained gardens of the hotel. Our very sweet waiter was very new and nervous but I’m sure in time he’ll be acing the position.

Beautiful place in the heart of nature. Lovely gardens with ample parking space. Friendly staff that serves you with a smile. Can however have more waiters to service customers more frequently. Definitely planning on booking in for a weekend.

Very good Cuisine.
Formerly part of the Hotel School operations, for training to International standards. Special pensioners discounts Wednesday and Thursdays!
Relaxed garden Al Fresco and cosy dining facilities, to complement their accommodation offerings.
Great Sunday buffet luncheon Al Fresco, with live music and facilities for families and kiddies playground too.

The venue is incredibly beautiful & blends into the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. Several gorgeous peacocks roam the estate adding to the natural relaxing environment.

Best place to be in Bothas Hill, stunning Venues and fantastic service. Fun and friendly staff who are always willing to go the extra mile. Family friendly with a great kiddies play area.

Been twice. Good value for money but service is not the best. Nice setting, be sure to go in good weather so that you can sit outdoors. We sat indoors and has to endure 80's hits at an uncomfortable volume.

Had lunch at Chantecler Hotel yesterday Sunday 5/2/17.
The variety of food was fantastic, the dinning room staff was incredible no dirty plates left on tables , had a walk round the fantastic grounds in between courses watched the very protective peahen with her chicks, This was our 34th Wedding Anniversary and we could not have picked a better venue. we will be back. Thank you Chantecler

Chantecler is a charming hotel nestled in beautiful Botha's Hill, KwaZulu-Natal, 30 minutes' drive out of Durban. The surrounding areas are all very beautiful, and even the drive there is very charming. The hotel grounds are picturesque, with rolling lawns, a well-stocked khoi pond, and there are peacocks roaming around being decorative.
The buildings are stone-and-thatch colonial, with cool slate floors, and reminiscent of a luxury bush lodge. The staff are friendly and the service is superb.
The food is excellent, and the Sunday buffet is especially worthy of mention - surprisingly good value for money, and there's laid-back live music, making it a great end to the weekend.
