Never will I come here again.
You can rent/buy your own little place but I still would not come here, not even for a weekend.
This past weekend my best friend rented a place for her birthday and she had invited my partner and me.
This place has a 10pm curfew. Seriously?
And they weren't kidding either since they came and literally banged on the front door saying that we were well past curfew and wanted us out within half an hour.
This makes me believe that anyone who is a paying resident can not invite someone to sleep over because Caribbean Estates will kick you out.
Who in their right mind puts out a curfew in a complex?
Why so early? Why not make curfew midnight?
Why have a curfew in the first place?
Ridiculous!!!!
Very unhappy that I could not stay the night for my best friends birthday!!!!
My best friends partner was extremely upset about this and tried begging us to stay but my partner and I were scared for the trouble that would have been caused because of stupid, immature, childish games of curfew.
Hate this place and I haven't ever been here before but after this weekend, never will I rent yet alone buy a place here.
10am curfew. You can shove your 10am curfew.
And I hear that people are moaning because of music playing, I understand that but it's 10 PM not 1 am. Music can be turned down/off come midnight.
Honestly, does no one want to have fun anymore over a weekend????response / report this review -

I quite enjoyed my stay there. It's a beautiful, well-kept estate with good security. The villas are equipped with all you'd need, there are some outdoor activities such as boat rides on the Umtamvuna river, with a special programme running over the holidays for added fun. There is a trail leading right to the river, as well as picnic spots and benches along the way. The play area with 3 pools and a jungle gym will keep the kids entertained. Or alternatively, one could pop in to the Wild Coast Casino which is a 2 minute drive with free entry upon presentation of the estate car sticker. The staff is friendly and so are the large cat population that roams the estate. Be warned not to feed the furry friends though, as it's strictly prohibited by the estate and is a fine-able offence. All in all, a lovely experience.

Beautiful place. Tranquil, peaceful and great setting. Ideal place to de stress. No swimming in beach adjoining resort but several blue flag beaches not too far away. Highly recommended destination.

This is a great place to spend a holiday at! I loved the theme of the estate, and the self-catering units are fully equipped with more than what is necessary! It's situated next to the river that borders KwaZulu-Natal from the Eastern Cape, and the resort is walking distance from the beach, and very close to the Wild Coast Sun and the Wild Waves Water Park. The cleaning staff are super friendly and serves with purpose. I highly recommend Caribbean Estates!

Direct access to the beach via different little pathways throughout the resort. Beautiful birdlife can be seen and heard throughout the day, only about 5min from Old Pont if you want to take a boat ride out on the river and less than 5min drive from the wild coast sun.
Offers self catering accommodation and housekeeping services. Staff are super friendly and helpful.response / report this review -

One of the most beautiful and relaxing places we've ever been to, beach is save, clean and clear sand. Units are 5 star to my opinion.

Great place. Not for old as the walk from beach is heart pumping. There should be a shuttle servics or access and parking for beach goers. Towels are stained and not changed. No replacement of the small soap thats enough for 1person that you have to share and no toilet paper replacement. Outdated TV. No keys for bedroom and toilet.

Great stay. The unit was in great condition and cleaned regularly. The facilities was great and the staff were always friendly and ready to assist. It also has a semi private beach, sadly with no life guards, but it is great for walks.

5 minutes away from wild coast sun and a great place for a quiet get away, a very well-maintained estate with 3 wonderful pools. Staff a helpful and efficient. It is just a short walk to a to a pristine almost private beach.

Secure and well maintained estate. Great for long walks on the deserted beach and even a great fishing spot without the crowds normally found on the KZN Coast. (Security guard on the beach provides peace of mind). Close to Wild Coast Casino for entertainment if you are so inclined and close enough to the more popular swimming beaches to warrant a quick drive to take a dip in the ocean.
Take note however that the walk to the beach will be physically challenging to the infirm. Definately recommended.response / report this review
