Best cocktails in Cape Town, no house brands, well priced, great barmen. Even better setting overlooking Kalk Bay harbor and the bay. Hard to beat. Planters Jug is definitely recommended

We always have fun at Cape to Cuba, although the food can be hit-or-miss. The chicken and lime soup is interesting. The seafood pasta is good, and generally I would recommend the seafood over the meat/chicken dishes, which I've found to be on occasion overcooked or underspiced. It's definitely worth a visit, though. The decor is amazing, the staff are friendly, and the cocktails are fun.

Great little place right on the water with the perfect ambience. A uniquely situated restaurant and bar next to an operating train line and and a little harbour. In the bar you will find locals and tourists and everyone is friendly. If you in the area and looking for a drink and a bite to eat, be sure to check this place out.

Great ambience. A uniquely situated restaurant and bar right next to an operating train line.

The food and service was top class. A nice touch is the separate bar area where you can take your shoes off and put your feet in beach sand while sipping cocktails. Over 4 million mojitos sold!

I went twice within a month and the two experiences were very different. The decor is quirky and fun. Live music on our second trip was very pleasant. We were all very pleased with our meals the first time. The paella for two and a seafood platter were huge! I would have given it 5 stars.

However on the second trip we went with meat dishes all round and were incredibly disappointed. Portions were small and the bolognaise tasted bizarrely, sickly sweet, like it came out of a jar rather than being made fresh. We had a polite chat with our waitress so we could find out from the chef what was going on. But the poor waitress turned out to be the end of the line as there was nobody else willing or able to answer questions or address concerns.

One of my favourite spots in kalk bay. Great ambiance, great drinks, friendly staff. Food is a bit too greasy for my taste, but it’s a good meal all in all, in huge quantities. The bar is definitely the visit though, Don’t miss the Sunday live music!

A fun place for a drink. We enjoyed a number of cocktails on a wet night. The floor is covered in sand interestingly.

Definitely a bucket list place. Stunning decor. Amazing vibe. The views are beautiful and the atmosphere has a real havana nights feel to it. The cocktails are outstanding. I had the seafood paella and it was delicious and fresh. Also try the cuban bread for a starter. Service was efficient and friendly.

Definitely one of the must visit places in CT. Loved it. Last been there 6 yrs ago and it is still one of the best bars around. Awesome food to match

Amazing Cuban style restaurant with the most beautiful decor. The food is absolutely delicious and cocktails are just heavenly. It's got a lovely view of the ocean and the Harbour with the occasional train passing by. All round lovely vibe with excellent service. A must try for those in the area.

A veritable Kalk Bay institution. Offers both an informal bar area, as well as an up-market restaurant. Great location. Wonderfully informal atmosphere, but contrastingly expensive food (and drinks). Do: visit the beach-bar with a group of friends for a great get-together.

Cuban style restaurant and bar. Amazing spot right by the sea, great decor and vibe. Food was also exceptional. I visited in winter when it was pretty quiet - would love to come back in summer!

Cape to Cuba is my absolute favourite place. The rustic atmosphere with a totally chilled and friendly vibe lives up to anyone's expectation that is after a proper coastal experience. Great drinks and cocktails and delicious foods from main meals to light snacks. The decor is probably my favourite part, it's almost as everything has just washed up from the ocean and fallen into a comfortable setting. Love love love it!

Vibe and decor are awesome. Really like the old school Cuban theme. Great location right next to the sea. This Review pertains specifically to the restaurant side. There is also a bar that serves food however I have not eaten there and cannot comment. Restaurant food is hit and miss. Have previously had numerous tapas. Some good others average. Also had a seafood platter on a different occasion which was not great at all. Would not go back to the restaurant but would be keen to try the bar area next time.

Food was quite amazing! Some waiter staff feel it appropriate to becone impatient with customers wanting to change seating arrangements though. Otherwise a really awesome place. Gives you the sense that you are in a completely different country.

Great atmosphere. Limited wine list so best to stick to beers and spirits. Interesting view of the bay and the train passes right outside which is sometimes a little alarming but adds to the whole effect of the place. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the floor of both is lovely soft white sand. There was a live band playing which was great fun.

Simply 4/5 for the decor and location. Well worth the grumpy waiters and snide looks just to get that o-la-la Cuban feeling. You'd be recommended to look atleast a little decent coming in here, service would most definitely look at you differently if you were to scout chinos and a white shirt. I tend to dress down just to see what level the service is at, no harm when it's early in the morning and hardly anybody is in.

The cocktails were good. But it took so much time to get anything. I didn't eat anything but my friends enjoyed their food. Since the whole floor is sand the kids have fun here, so you can bring them if you like.
