Was not impressed with the advice I was given for the stray, mangy dog that I wanted to adopt. Advice given was outdated. Got excellent help from another institution. Very disappointed!

I get a little lump in my throat every time I visit the spca but I know what they provide these dogs with is better than the life they had before. So many dogs with no "applied for" on their charts. Go visit and give a dog a home.

This place provides care and shelter for abandoned animals. They can also take care of your pets if you are away from home and need some assistance.

You sell to expensive animal. Once I went to them and I wanted to adoct a kitten and they said it was R700 + a R100 for the inspection.😡😠

Five stars to the Cape of Good Hope SPCA for many years of service to animals and the community even during times when their very survival seemed bleak. Today they can hold up their heads with pride. The entire place has been revamped and the dogs and cats in their care have five star accommodation. Warm, dry and loved.

Very nice facilities and animals seem to be very well looked after. Only had access to the kennels and haven't seen hospital side. Dropped a star as I have been here a couple times to spend some time with the animals and staff only allow walking through the kennels. I wanted to take a dog or two around the garden for a walk and was told this was done by the permanent volunteers. I do understand that processes have to be followed but was expecting than any extra attention for the animals would be accepted and appreciated as I do have experience with dogs. Perhaps they should look at allowing this kind of time donation from the public.

Frequently walk dogs here and got my kitten from here which was a very efficient and cost effective process. Spca act responsibly, compassionatly and swiftly when it comes to placing animals and take good care of the animals in their care
