The southern most point of Africa, it is definitely worth the trip to say that you got as south as one can go in Africa. The light house is fantastic and the views are amazing. However that's all there is in the town.

A must visit place if you are travelling to South Africa. This is where the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean meet. It was truly an experience to go up the lighthouse and view the beautiful village and sea from the top. I took a lot of panorama photos using the iPhone. It was windy and beautiful up there.

Second time visiting this very historic place for Africans or tourists in general. One of the local told us about the shipwreck that we just had to go seeand if you pay the meager amount of R30 you have the opportunity to go up the lighthouse and have a perfect 360° view of your surroundings. We had perfect weather which made this experience even extra special. And when you're done savour some of the local foodmmm

Awesome view and a great piece of light house history to be seen in one place. Within walking distance of the southern most point in Africa and definitely worth a visit for locals and tourists. The building is well kept and close to wonderful restaurants and beaches in town. Safe area and suitable for the whole family to visit and climb up the 71 steps of the light house.

Lovely lighthouse at the tip of Africa. R30 lets you visit the lighthouse and museum, while walks around the area are free. R10 will get you a map of the hiking trail from reception (or free if the lady is feeling friendly). Staff were very friendly and helpful, offering little insights into this beautiful area.

Windy like hell but worth a visit - up the tower and the lighthouse museum. Well kept, clean and informative. You pay a small fee to experience both.

The red and white lighthouse is a landmark and remarkable how the renovations done to the building transformed it to a vibrant place. I loved the display inside about world wide lighthouses and how they came about. Still visible with this lighthouse is the old mechanism where the lighthouse keeper had to wind up the mechanism like and old cuckoo clock to enable the light to go round and round. The 360° view from the top is a must if you brave enough to go the last ladder, it might be chilly at the top during winter time.

Beautiful and ruggard with the blue ckear ocean - so unspoilt. Nature at it's best. This is in Struisbaai - a very quiet area. We were there on 27th July 2017. The municipality is improving the road and the walkway to the shipwreck is being built for easy walks.

Very beautiful lighthouse with great view from the top. This is the southernmost lighthouse in South Africa and the second-oldest lighthouse that still works in South Africa. Visit it and clime to the top.

There's no other place like it. But don't expect to see a line separating the two oceans lol. Worth the try

The most Southern Lighthouse on the African continent. It is worth a visit. you climb to the top and have a look at the amazing views. the ladder inside the building to the top of the lighthouse is steep so take care. Don't forget to visit the most southern tip of the continent.

It's worth the modest entry fee to climb up to the top of the lighthouse, although be warned: it's a steep climb up several flights on ladder-type steps. If you do make it to the top though, you'll be rewarded with a great view of the entire area.

After you get back down, walk along the boardwalk along the ocean (an easy, leisurely 1-km walk; for those who prefer, you can also drive most of the way on a dirt road) to the Tip of Africa -- the southernmost point on the African continent and the place where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.
