Went there to buy a 100m, 2.5mm electric cable yesterday. They were out of stock on the packs , but they have the roll .I asked if they could give me from the roll for the same price. The manager just refused. He wants me to pay almost R800 difference. Everyone knows rolls are cheaper than packaging. So go to Electric Warehouse around the corner, much cheaper anyway and they do it all from rolls.

I went there while in Johannesburg to buy some DIY items. You can get most anything here, they have a very large premises, lots of employees all very helpful. It's definitely a one-stop-DIY-shop and more. They now also provide quotations and installation of kitchens. I took dimensions of our small flats kitchen, they did a cupboard design while I waited, I received the quotation by email an hour or so after leaving there. They supply appliances, washing machines, driers, ovens, fridges at reasonable prices. Garden tools, plants, wood and general builders materials and tools. There is a small sitdown cafeteria for eats and restrooms for the public.

Always well stocked and most staff are friendly. You will get the service you need if you ask and their trade counter is fast and efficient. Get there early though, it gets really busy in the afternoons and you will sit in line for awhile. But overall this is my builders of choice!

Looked on line for Goldair Upright fan heater at R150. Then checked on line for availability. Found 4 white and 1 black one available at Builders Express Robindale. Went to buy it and was told they had no heaters of any kind in stock and had not had any for a long time. Called customer services and was told the number shown was for those available for on-line purchases only. This is a load of bulls..t as a different number are available at different branches. Was also told I must first call the branch to check if they have the item in stock but the only number listed gets you through to the same idiot in customer services. BW if you want customers I suggest that firstly you update your website, secondly train your staff to know how the website works. This posting is intended for BW's head office and not for any particular branch.

This is the best place to be for home improvement,if you find that day things not happening the way, doesn't mean is bad place to shop,go to the store and experience customer service, we have been to the other stores, but the assistants won't bother themselves to show sense of urgency when assisting,go to builders get it done.People used to complain,go to Pick n Pay,people will behave in the long queues no one will ask for the manager to complain, let's get back to our senses.

Has pretty much anything you need for DIY. If you're getting wood cut on a weekend be warned it can take a while

absolutely useless contractors corner, ordered boards to be cut and 2 weeks later still waiting. George who apparently runs the store can't even be bothered to phone customers, great to see good customer service comes from the top

Poor shopping experience. On 24 dec 2016 tried to buy Beck Camo shorts for R275 as advertised in catalogue and correctly on shelf. However Till price R300. Supervisor and manager involved but no catalogue in store to verify. Eventually sorted out but only after unpleasant irrelevant argument with manageress and waste of my time.
