What an awesome experience, had an excellent tour guide. It's really breathtaking to get so close to these amazing animals.
Not a huge game reserve but for the first time very impressive! Have seen loads of animals and our tour guide Willy was amazing in explaining and showing around too. Loved it and definitely worth a visit if short in time or don't want to drive too far from Cape Town. It
has definitely fulfilled every expectation I had before going there and prices are more than fair!! Next time though I would probably choose something bigger with lions in the wild and not in a cage :)
Totally surprised! This is a must see for anyone touring Cape Town! Ive been to many game and nature reserves, my girlfriend was down from Germany for the first time, I decided to take her to Buffelsfontein. Animal list, location and affordability attracted me. I am so happy, amazing reserve, staff, especially our tour guide Willie, beautiful animals, we saw so many, didnt espect to see to many and to get so close! Do yourself a favor and go visit this reserve!
Staying in Cape Town and want to show the kiddies some majestic African wildlife, and don't want to drive far? This is a great option. Kids loved seeing the Giraffes, Rhinoceros, Buffalo, Ostriches, Wilderbeast and Springboks. Then we got up close and personal their Lions and Cheetahs at feeding time. Our driver, Trevor was very friendly and informative and we had a great time.
Beautiful oasis of wild life just one hour drive from Cape Town. Restaurant, bar and swimming pool; everything you really need on hot summer day. And then you have almost 3 hour long game drive and a chance to see wild animals at a very close range. What an exciting and at times trilling experience, especially for kids. I would recommend overnight stay just for a chance to witness the majesty of our Milky Way Galaxy, something that you will remember for the rest of you life. Enjoy! :)
Camped in the sand pit area. Great get away from CPT and waking up to the lions roaring (in pens) with kudu etc roaming free was very cool.
Great park with very friendly staff. Had a great guided tour and got a chance to get a close up look at most of the animals. Guide was respectful towards the animals and to visitors.
Value for money, great food, excellent rooms, friendly staff. Wake up seeing rhinos zebras and giraffes outside your bedroom window
Went here for a wedding and it is simply pu an awesome venue. Great wild life and friendly atmosphere and staff.
Good food and relaxed atmosphere. Loads of stuffed animals everywhere. Great if you can handle that.
A must with 4 of the big 5 and great winter prices.
Food is GREAT & always freshly made! Service is good. Place is GORGEOUS as you can often spot the animals walking around the reception area. One downside is that you can no longer drive yourself on a 4 x 4 game drive. You have to book a tour
Were here for a wedding. The place have lots of potential and some nice things to see.
Great for a quick trip however they don't have elephants. Food is average. The ranger was very nice and experienced.
Amazinng. To see the Cheetahs and get so close to the Lions during feeding was something I will never forget!
Accommodation at the self catering guest house was stunning, game drives pretty good considering it's not the Eastern Cape where games farms are much bigger. The farm itself is a bit untidy in that there are the odd weird things lying around (2 boilers in the field, an uninstalled fibreglass pool) and the farm could clean up the entrance to look less like a working farm. The overall experience is positive though and worth the money spent.
