The only place/vet I take my Hahns macaw to. They are gentle and sweet to any animal they see AND they know their stuff! They are avian and exotic specialist vets which are extremely hard to find these days, therefore, they are the best!!!

The queuing system needs work. The receptionist has 1 job and she couldn't even do that well.

As for the vet. The best ever. Very knowledgeable and I will give him 5 stars.

Truly excellent, professional and caring vets. Patched up our pet rat with so much care and skill, going so far as using a specialist anaesthetic mask for little animals to make sure he didn't feel any pain during the procedure.

In a panic I called the Johannesburg zoo in need of a second opinion from someone who specialized in reptiles especially tortoises. Initially I had my babies treated by a "dogs and cats" vet (no offence to dog and cat owners) and the problems were not resolved, most of the advise I received was not appropriate. And I was never really told what we are treating them for and how to prevent it from happening in future. I was also told to prepare myself to say good bye i.e. one of them might pass on. Turns out it was a common and normal infection.

The staff is so friendly, the vet is excellent. Best specialist vet, very knowledgeable. He offered so much advise and allayed my worries. My tortoise are healthy again. It was great to have someone so passionate care for my babies.

The hours are also really great for working pet owners. Thoroughly pleased with the service, would recommend them to anyone.

Waited for 2 hours for my turn in the queue. Some form of ticketing system and/or waiting time estimation needs to be displayed to patrons. (This was during December thoughI don't think the place is always that busy)

Our cheerful playful loving 5yr old Rotweiller just fell over while we were playing with him and died. The vet in attendance and his assistant who carried him inside are just so special and thoughtful! Very considerate people. Thank you for ensuring that my daughter got to say her goodbyes! Your good work will be blessed.
