Great experience in the Bush. Much more intimate experience with the surrounding wildlife and veld. Campsite is very neat and your sure to find like minded people in the camp.

The camp surrounds are peaceful. When gates close, the tranquility of the wilderness sensed. Facilities are exceptional, remember no power. Stars are bright and Beautiful. The staff very friendly and Helpful. Loved the couple Days spent at Balule.

I stayed at this wonderful, calm place for 3 nights in May 2016. The camp is very small and there is no shop, restaurant or filling station. The bungalows are rather spacious, very clean and have a good distance to the next one. One can reach the camp only by a dirt road (about 4.5 km from the east and 17 km from the west end) reserved to guests of the camp. From most bungalows it is a very short distance, sometimes with a view from the terrace, to the fence and the mostly dry riverbed behind it. Most time of the day you can see elephants and other animals from the benches positioned close to the fence and you can hear them from your terrace whole day and night. Especially in the afternoon there are very many elephants drinking from holes they dug, old and young bulls and families with calves of every age. One day i stopped counting at 100, amazing! In the surrounding area i saw a lot of rhino, hyena, lion and common game. I will definitely return to this place!

Small camp with NO electricity so be prepared when you visit. But amazing wildlife and the river close by perfect if you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy Kruger Park
