Perhaps this rating is unfair. Because I never got to taste their slightly overpriced food as I waited essentially an eternity. Other people’s food did look good though.

Spacious cafe service both sweets and food both indoors and outdoors. Slow service and somewhat lazy (but polite) staff earns this cafe only 3 out of 5. Otherwise quite good.

Service is friendly. Coffee is good. Menu is a rearrangement of the same ingredients.
Food is carb heavy and oily. Our tabasco was either off, or diluted with vinegar.

Ordered an open chicken open sandwich, which was served with an off slice of chicken.

Old style Farm atmosphere, just like all the other stores in Clarens, and well set out. Food was OK, nothing to write home about. Steak Roll Prego was tender, but lacking flavour. My dad's Lamb Bredie was also tender, but really salty. Waiters were very friendly and even offered a free Coke to wash down the salt. Cappuccino was good and featured Therdoore Coffee. There's is free wifi but limited to 50mb per device. Prices were good for this town, where everything is overpriced due to it being a tourist town.

The artists cafe has lovely small, light and very tasty home made food. Full of flavour and really delicious. Outdoor area has an old tractor and simple kids slides and rides.but will keep city kids engaged and occupied for hours. Lovely little spot on main road in Clarens.

Great variety on the menu. Food was quick and tasted good. Kids can also go play on the various old tractors or cars in the yard.

Good position on the square. Food is mostly basic easy to make meals. The food quality, service and coffee is good. Outside seating on the patio is a winner.
