Best place out of all the places I visited on my December 2017 vacation. So peaceful, relaxing, stunning views, amazing swimming pool with waterfalls. Lovely lush greens. Close to wine tasting farms. Excellent

I’ve visited Arabella three times and it’s always such a treat staying here! Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are excellent and the continental breakfast in the morning tops it all off!

2017 chef is great. really brought fresh taste into a very-very stale cuisine which has became a downside of our Arabella stays. keep up the great job.
Deducted one star because of the spa recently took a dive.
Service levels dropped. Basic necessities missing: shower cabin without shampoo or douche gel. Not empty trays there is simply nothing there. Never seem to be a clean drinking glass to be found. Most of them are cracked and should have been replaced long time ago. Less towels on the claim of water shortage which actually untrue as it does not apply to the hotels area. No water saving showerheads but they closed off the cold stream which was essential for the dry sauna experience. Air-conditioning temperature inconsistent and sometimes smelly. What we see is poor management.

Excellent golf estate with good hotel. Can definitely do with a revamp and a bit of a better breakfast variety and more options at the restaurant. The spa was excellent but the rooms were small. But overall a good stay and good service

Had the pleasure of attending a conference here recently. Beautiful surroundings. Great staff. Amazing facilities. Fantastic rooms and a view to die for. The food was SUPERB and a great variety for all to eat. Hopefully if I ever get to go again will try the spa treatments.

Stunning location, lovely hotel and very helpful and friendly staff.
I don't play golf, but it's a beautiful place to spend time outside. There is a very nice pool, and spa to relax if you're not a golfer, too. Will definitely go back.

We were there recently in a large group and the hotel itself was absolutely beautiful as well as the surroundings. One thing which was a nice touch and very surprising to find was an ironing board and steam iron in the cupboard. Very needed after living out of a suitcase for a week before, however the iron plug didn't fit into the plug sockets and kept jumping out, which was strange considering such a high class establishment. Other guests had the same experience, I suggest fitting a 3 pin plug to all of the irons or buying irons with them already on. One of the guests said they couldn't use the plug socket as the desk was placed in front of it. These little details make a huge difference.

The hotel restaurant is really not what we expected.

We visited them on a very quiet Sunday afternoon and was one of only two tables. The menu was very limited and printed on a small piece of paper. Lots of items was not available to order. For being only two tables we expected quick service but waited abnormally long for our food.

Not sure if this is the norm but from what we've heard they've always been a "nice" restaurant.

This is a five star establishment. In its inception it was, in my experience, a brilliant five star hotel, well worth its ratings. Every little detail was seen to and one was made to feel very special and pampered there. There used to be that personal touch so vital to such a place. However, over the years I have experienced a slow decline in the quality of the overall experience; anywhere from the obvious/basic aspects such as the condition of the bed/bedroom and equipment, the less knowledgeable staff, the level of service and culinary quality of the restaurant/s to the loss of the emphasis on the small touches and the loss of that personal touch.
I felt like just a number there the last couple of visits.

While it is still a great place to go and relax with its beautiful settings, it can do much more, as it used to, in order to deserve its five star rating and beat the competition.

Arabella is a beautiful hotel with a terrific spa, gym and swimming pool. Rooms are spacious and staff are friendly. There are grey areas that need attention but I believe this could be due to lack of communication between Management and staff. Hope they get to sort this out soon because there is no reason why this hotel should not be one of the best in the Western Cape

Place is really great with spa and gym and everything else. But for people who eat halaal they're aren't much dinner options from room service menu. But otherwise really relaxing place with the hot pools. Breakfast is yum. They have a halal section where they make your omelette, eggs etc and on request they have halal lamb sausages if requested at breakfast.

Stayed over for two nights for an engagement party and had a blast. The golf was excellent albeit rather difficult. The food, service and decor was magnificent.

Nice facilities, but the service from the restaurant staff needs major improvement! Food is also mediocre and not what I was expecting from a five star establishment which definitely leaves a bitter taste in your mouth and ruined the experience for us.
I will not be rushing back

Beautiful hotel with stunning lagoon views on a premier golf course, but we will never go back after being awoken 2 mornings at 04h50 by an army of lawn mowers tending the golf course which runs along the length of the hotel. The mowing and grass blowers kept us awake till 07h00. It was hell. Apparently golfing takes precedence over all other activities on the estate. Do not even think of booking here if peace and tranquility is what you have in mind. Even the stunning surroundings cannot compensate for the daily hell of early waking.
