I have expierenced a Safari day tour. Too expensive, too far for nothing. A visit to a zoo at your own city is much better !

Booked for evening Township tour. Guide eventually showed up 45 minutes late saying he'd been waiting outside our hotel for us. This wasnt true as we were outside the hotel waiting for him and the hotel had called twice to check where he was during that time. (We were told 10 minutes away 30 minutes before he arrived) With such a bad vibe we decided not to go ahead as we didn't want a rushed experience. Such a shame as we were so looking forward to the experience on our last night in S.A.

Arrangements were made through my hotel and I arrived 20 minutes and the driver never showed. The concierge desk called and was given three different stories for three different follow-up calls: The driver is running late; the driver will be there in five minutes; and finally, the driver had come on time and I was not there. Their weak offer was to go that afternoon when I already had plans.

My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our full day day tour of the Cape Town which included Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point and ended at the Kirstenboch botanical gardens, which due to shortage of time could not see the whole garden but it is beautiful and a must visit place. This review is, in particular, of the beautiful and gracious guide, Cornelia (spelling?). She was knowledgeable, courteous, very engaged and helpful. She spoke good English clearly. She made our tour more enjoyable. 5 stars for her, while we give 4 star to the company for the following reasons:

Our previous half day tour of the city was not as enjoyable, however, since the guide did not seem to be quite knowledgeable and had such heavy accent that we could not understand many of the things he was saying.
Also the half day tour included a visit to a diamond store, which is not what we paid to see the city. one can go to Jared anywhere in America to learn all about diamonds one need to know.

Tour company need to hire guides who, one; speak clearly in English and two; are very knowledgeable and have an engaging personality.

I wanted to give these guys a chance. The day started out well. The guide was very knowledgeable and the itinerary seemed cool. In the morning, they said there was no wine tasting. That's fine as we signed up for this tour specifically to see the boulder beach penguins. So fast forward to the time with the penguins -- we were given only 40 minutes here and then berated for returning 14 minutes late -- even though this was what we specifacally asked for when booking the tour. I suppose you can't please everyone, and we weren't pleased.

We did the half day peninsula tour and felt very rushed all the time. Not because we had little time at the sights, but because the guide kept rushing us emphasising on how late we were and that we would not make it back into town on time. I am sorry, but I will not be using this company again.
