I booked a camping site after reading the write up in Drive &Camp magazine .
My expectations was high and could not wait.
Arriving Friday early all was gŕeat had a peaceful braai and was pleased with my decision.
9 pm went to lie down and rest but then the neighbors arrived 3 cars pitching tents and talking on top of their voices.
Eventually at 1am I phoned no answer so i walked the camp to find security and complained. Silence at last but 7am I woke up to loud talking cars revving to charge flat battery that took another hour.
Pete and security arrived then loud music started and drinking. I was told that the police will remove them .
I asked Pete for a refund as I would go elsewhere Pete assured me he would resolve the situation.
I went for breakfast in town to avoid any unpleasantness but returned to the same noise.
No removal as advertised.
After been intimidated by the neighbors and management had not resolved the situation I had to pack up and go home.
8.30pm I was packed and left for home .
Beautiful place unfortunately been destroyed by poor management .
Linda the manager not to be seen and refuses to give owner details.
Worst experience ever STAY AWAY until management is replaced.
What I have learnt is that one must read the reviews first before booking and take note of the dateresponse / report this review -

The place is beautiful and breath taking. It has a beautiful scenery and the landscape is amazing.

Friendly staff apart from Wouter the guy at reception with his unnecessary comments. Place very hot with broken aircon. I suggest some backup fans in case your air-conditioning stops working. Also, keep some citronella candles and perhaps spray for your clients.

Beautiful and serene. The chalets are well equipped and impressively clean. The right place to come do nothing but rest.

Incredible hospitality and beautiful accommodation at affordable rates. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a stunning venue close to Johannesburg. A superb weekend getaway.

The place was nice just poorly organised, we were unable to use facilities such as the warm pool or the restaurant due to a weekend function that we should have been warned about when we booked. They have no discipline in the area if you want a quiet weekend getaway be warned your neighbors might keep you up with their into the early morning loudness as there is no cut off time or restrictions for loud partying very disappointed a tranquil setting couldn't be had.

We have stayed at Aeroden Lodge 3-5 July and enjoyed it tremendously .

Aeroden is a BEAUTIFUL,STUNNING,NEAT,CLEAN AND EXTREMELY RELAXING place. Excellent service and very friendly staff. I was so impressed. Warm pool and cold pool is soooo clean at all times, I will definitely be going back there. Rates are really not bad, YOU DEFINITELY GET WHAT YOU PAY FORLUXURY!!!
