Did the hippo/croc river tour on the 16/12 /17 at 10:00 (currently on the boat on our way back) the animal spotting was really good but the guide is not very forthcoming with information, lots of quite time on the boat without commentary, just waiting for the next spotting. The guide only provides very basic information. I had very high hopes as friends did a similar tour and had an fantastic tour guide, must have been a different company. If you like a tour with very little info about the wildlife , this company might be for you, if you want more I suggest use the other tour operator, smaller company with smaller boat . I got a bit board on this tour(keeping my self busy with writing this review)

Advantage geeft niet alleen advies over hun eigen tours, maar ook over andere tours. Wij zijn zo goed geholpen door een aardige jonge man. Door zijn advies en door de tour natuurlijk, weten wij weer wat afrika is.

2 Stunden Fahrt. Haben sehr viele Hippos und verschiedene Vögel sehr nah gesehen. Leider haben wir nur ein Krokodil gesehen. War wohl etwas zu kalt.

We would have liked to give a five star review, but on two occasions Advantage failed to deliver on a whale watching tour. The first time the boat's engine malfunctioned and after sitting on the beach for 45 minutes we were told that the boat wouldn't leave that day. We tried to immediately arrange for another tour the next day and were told that there were only a few spots left for one of the two tours the next day. When we arrived on time the following day, the tour had already left - without us having been told as much. Given the previous day's experience that was disappointing.
What was truly disappointing in the end was how we were treated when we inquired about what had been going on. The owner was extremely defensive and denied any and all responsibility. Moreover, no attempt was made to take an extra step to at least try to make up for what happened. The offer to take us on a ride for a different tour on offer was an empty one as their boat was full and only came as it became clear that we were unhappy with how events had unfolded. Advantage has a monopoly on whale watching in St. Lucia and we hope you will receive better treatment. The same is not true for other tours and we would - and did - go with alternatives which run smaller boats and can offer more interesting rides in the estuary.response / report this review
