Very poor backup of contractor. Job not finished properly, and no interest after money paid. When problems arose, very little response from Advance Pools. Would not recommend. One star is generous. Pool shell itself is good, installation not good at all.

Today I have to waste my valuable time in a small claims court in order to get some compensation for the inefficient service and shoddy workmanship rendered by Advance Pools. The fibre relining was done with a very poor finish . The light housings were cracked resulting in major water loss and the lights were siliconed into place and no attempt was made to ensure that everything was functioning properly before vacating the site. A different contractor had to be called in to fix the mess. The Advance Pools logo is accompanied by a logo from The association of pool and spa professionals ( APSP ). Don't be fooled by this as they are not certified members of that association. Be aware that this contract was worth R 55 000 and despite all payments being made timeously, a contract that started in September 2015 was only completed ( by another company ) in January 2016. My advice to you is to avoid any dealings with Phillip and Melinda Smit and Advance Pools.

Advance Pools put in a pool for me a few years back for a higher cost than some other companies- a very bad job, the sand was not compacted properly, the pool has been sinking and splitting in various places for years, the creepy gets stuck on all the warps and lumps on the bottom, they don't answer emails and appear to be disinterested in help or advice. Very disappointed- don't use them.
