I would not go there if you paid me.
Nice place to bring kids camping and cool cave / museum tours
Bathrooms are few and far between. Only aware of 1 shower area and all needed cleaning. Tour of cave seemed fine but information was all based on fiction and stories told.Facts given about gelogical structure and discovery seemed to be made up and not reserched.
The Caverns and Campground are such a beauty to behold. Whether summer or winter, the caves are always the same temperature. There are cabins to rent for winter camping, too! Not being far from town, this makes the perfect get away for anyone. You can swim, or fish or even hike the grounds and be one with nature. Really a great spot to frequent!
Nice campground! Staff is very helpful!
Unless you are Ted Julian who writes reviews and loves to speed through things and complain because it is not a Courtyard by Marriott for which he seems to feel at home at.This place is a Semi-Modern campground with Water and Electricity. If you are more into nature and not the KOA style campground, this is a great place. They Have Great events and are very knowledgeable about their history. The Museum has some very interesting pieces and the cave is really interesting. One of the better ones I have been in. I camp there at least 4 to 6 times a year. The Pow-Wows are a great time to come and are enjoyable.
Great place! They have camping, cavern tours, pow wow!
Very rustic and organic.not for KOA type camper. Friendly and fun community of native American Indian descendents.
Very scenic and beautiful. The cave was cool and very interesting, with "cave pearls" that were unique, unlike other formations I've seen in nearby caves. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The campground was peaceful and serene with beautiful cabins as well as tent sites. Highly recommend the cave and staying at their campground. Loved it!
I've basically grown up here! Met life long friends and learned so much! Once I spent my whole summer here..the events get a little rowdy but they have security through out the park so I don't worry really. The pow wows are a gorgeous cultural experience and I recommend bringing a camera for sure! They recently fixed up the cabins but as a kid I was always super excited when my grandma got us a cabin!! The museum tour is cool because being that close to such artifacts take my breath away. And I always loved the cave. I've been with these people so long they are literally family. Highly recommend giving it a visit!
