  First visit. Met expectations and more. Good southern cooking and friendly staff. Casual dining, cafeteria style. All food cooked fresh each day. Turnip greens and green fried tomatoes were exceptional. Sweet potatoes were cooked and sweetened to perfection. I didn't care for the zipper peas. They were new to me so maybe an acquired taste.

  FOOD IS AMAZING!!! Everything is delicious and buffet is very reasonable considering the selection. I feel so stuffed I can roll home everytime I leave this place. Staff is also extremely warm and friendly which is unfortunately rare now. Really the only complaint I have is the interior/decor could use a facelift.

  This $9.94 buffet features plenty of delicious options for carnivores & vegetarians alike. Down home, country food such as turnip greens, cheesy grits, mac n' cheese, catfish, pork chops, biscuits, hush puppies, fried okra, rutabagas as well as plenty of desserts are in great abundance.
  
  I had to deduct 3 stars because of the depressing condition of the interior of the building.
  
  The Beautiful Little Town of Slocomb deserves the completed upgrades to one of their most popular restaurants.

  IF YOU LIKE SOUTHERN COOKING, LOOK NO FURTHER. This place is doing it right. The buffet is fantastic and every dessert is on point (trust me, i tried them all). Best lunch place in this region of the state.

  My favorite restaurant in the Dothan area! Warm & friendly owners and staff and THE BEST HOME COOKED FOOD AROUND! Everything is so fresh and cooked to perfection! If you need some comfort food, this is your place!

  This $9.94 buffet features plenty of delicious options for carnivores & vegetarians alike. Down home, country food such as turnip greens, cheesy grits, mac n' cheese, catfish, pork chops, biscuits, hush puppies, fried okra, rutabagas as well as plenty of desserts are in great abundance.
  
  I had to deduct 3 stars because of the DEPRESSING CONDITION of the interior of the building.
  
  EVERY room in Zack's Restaurant is in DIRE, DESPERATE NEED OF FLOOR - TO - CEILING RENOVATIONS.
  
  The beautiful little town of Slocomb deserves the completed upgrades to one of their most popular restaurants.

  Thefood is awesome. I always have way more than what I can eat. The only downside is that you may have to wait in line a bit for the service. They country fried steak is to die for .

  Read about this place in a Panama City (FL) magazine and thought we would take the 1 1/2 hour trip to try it. We weren't disappointed. Great place with fresh produce and small town appeal.

  Food is always fresh, delicious and southern made. Staff is always friendly with a smile. Favorite place to go for southern soul food
