I love that my vegetables and fruits are always fresh and I have a wide variety to choose from especially organics. If I also want to purchase a whole case of an item I can do so. I always feel good about my purchase when I go here. The prices are very reasonable. There is always an attendant to help if you ever have a question. Very helpful staff. I would recommend DeKalb Farmers market over and over again.
I love going here. They have an amazing selection of fruits and veggies. They also have fresh cut meat and live sea food that you can pick out. They have a huge selection of spices, fresh baked bread/pasta and wine from all over the world. This is truly a one stop shop. If your trying to eat organic and healthy this is definitely the place you want to shop. I love going flower shopping here also.
Literally the greatest food store. Inspiring in its diversity and commitment to high-quality produce and wares. Coming here always makes me want to explore the world of food from all kinds of cultures, be it French, Italian, Indian, Lebanese, Ecuadorian.
There are flags from every country hanging from the ceilings, just to show what they're about.
Great cheap buffet with a wonderful variety of food (for vegetarians, carnivores like me, or people somewhere in between. Try the cornbread--and the chickpea burgers!
Great selection of all kinds of foods: chocolate, cheese, pasta, deli meat, vegetables, fruits, tubers, peppers, mushrooms, rice, alcohol..just everything you could want.
It's spacious and cheap.
A must-visit in Atlanta
I just love this place Always fresh fruit and vegetables.. Fish and meats are always fresh.. Get your cart in the parking lot before you go in. Prices are very reasonable. Down side: Communication is difficult with some of the staff but there's always someone to help with that
Stunning variety. Lots of decently prriced organic but it depends on the day for which things are organic and decent price and high quality. Best place for good organic fruit - way better than Whole Foods for great, perfectly ripe fruit. Many days a particular fruit is poor, but another fruit is perfect. With a bit of flexibility you can aways find great fruit and vegetables on any day. Super crowded on weekends. Lots of nationality specific vegetables. Great source for rare flours, organic rice, etc. We go there often.
All the produce is very fresh. They have fruits and vegetables from different parts of the world. They also have a good section for meat and poultry. They have a separate section for sea food and their staff is also available to clean the fish. They also stock a good variety of cheeses. They also have a good collection of wines. I love visiting this market. The only thing to keep in mind is they don't accept credit cards, but they accept debit cards and cash.
Great market! The fruit and meats selections are fresher than our local supermarket, which makes it worth the few cents more per pound. I love the spices and flowers as well.
My daughter and I enjoy having our lunch here, however, our stay is usually short because of the cold. I understand it must be cold for the food's sake, but four stars because I have to do all this great shopping for culturally diverse goodies in a refrigerator.
BRING A JACKET!
Diverse selection of just about any thing you could hope for in a grocer. The lower rating is for the prepared foods as of late the foods do not taste as fresh, and not as enjoyable. And at times (most of the time) the workers are rude, so alone with all the busy people shopping, they pull out carts and pallets in front of you and do not really assist you. But overall the shopping is worth it if you are in the area. Prices are competitive and alternative , diverse, special diets needs can be met. Desserts are fun to but do come with cash because no debit cards at the bakery. And fee for cards used at prepared food cafe. One of the better grocers for product.
Amazing farmer market experience! Food and flags from all over the world. Not always the best deals for food but great quality and large variety. They have a cafeteria and bakery to eat while you are there. Large fresh seafood area. Whatever you may be looking for they are 99% likely to have it. Well worth a visit even if you didn't buy anything!
This place is exactly what you'd expect. THEY HAVE almost EVERYTHING that you'd ever want. Prices can be somewhat higher, but the quality is usually outstanding. You have to pay attention when buying seafood, beef and or swine as they're cuts are not always top notch and most of the folks working there are not necessarily butchers. Overall I love shopping here.
A wide variety of options, good prices. They don't take credit cards only cash or debit and it's usually packed. Go early to not get the leftovers. Their seasonings are my favorite thing. They are exotic but very affordable. Curries and paprika and turmeric from different places and grains you've never heard of.
This place is always amazing. They have such a large selection of hard to find fruits vegetables and meats at great prices. No other farmers market in the state compares to this one. I would have went a full five stars if they supported my constitutional right to carry. I have to say that does affect my attendance there. I'd go more if I didn't have to disarm to be there.
What an interesting mix of customers, staff and product! The range of products is outstanding. Awesome lunch fare (lentil samosas are amazing), fresh fruit, wine selection (with clearance wines that are always a great deal), the cheapest and widest selection of spices that I know of At least in Atlanta. Honestly, bring your kids, see the live crawfish every weekend, awe at the giant main lobsters and catfish swimming around, grab some fresh meat in every cut of every animal imaginable, eat a chocolate croissant from one of the best bakeries in the area, taste some unique cheeses, buy coffee and a pastry and wander the aislesTruly a treat and an Atlanta asset.
This is probably my favorite grocery store in Atlanta. Everything is super fresh and reasonably priced. I'll give the downsides first: it gets pretty crowded pretty quickly so if that's not your thing, don't come; also, they only take cash or debit card (no credit cards!). Otherwise, there's a wall full of cheap dried herbs, aisles upon aisles of fresh produce, fresh seafood, meat that they will package in whatever size you want (including bacon cut to the thickness of your liking!), and freshly made pasta in house! Plus there's just about everything you'd find in any other grocery store. If you're looking to eat before you go grocery shopping, they have a hot meal bar which is fantastic (again, cash/debit only). I highly recommend coming here, especially if you like to make your meals from scratch with fresh ingredients.
Love this place Minus the somethings Strong fishy smell. I would hope that if the new market ever gets completed, the mongers get placed at one far end.
If you are ever looking for something off the wall.. start your search here.. if it's not here, it's not available anywhere. Friday afternoons and weekends are the "you can't move" days. But expect it to be busy at anytime. Fresh meats of all kinds, fish/seafood, baked goods, spices, produce..You name it.
