Excellent experience. Dr. Youngren was extremely thorough and did not rush at all. He made me feel relaxed, and helped me understand my symptoms.
[UPDATE: He called me himself with my blood results on basic tests. I was nervous because it was the doctor himself delivering the information, instead of one of his staff. The results were normal. I appreciate he took the time to call me himself :)]report this review -

A great doctor, very pleasant personality, skillful and a real expert both in examination and in surgery. I am very lucky to have him as one of my doctors. He explains everything relentlesly..

I usually don't write negative reviews but feel it is necessary here for the sake of other patients. Also Morristown hospital should take extra caution where they reroute their patients after discharge. Ensuring the referred physician qualifies for the individuals follow up care. This physician took the easy way out on my case which could have been catastrophic, luckily I found another physician that was well aware of my case and had no problems honoring my symptoms and continued further treatment. This doc is one of the poorest physicians I have come across in a while. Morristown hospital is to blame for this referral. Do not treat your infections at a urologist, even though Mr. Youngren advertises infectious care and treatment, find an ID thats willing to work with an EXPERIENCED urologist. He is certain to hurt someone with his careless stance. If its other than simple lab work and studies, go somewhere else. Jonathan Yoesting?? Nice try.

Doctor Kjell Youngren is a gem to the society of men. I've just left his office after having a vasectomy and if you need a urologist he is the go to guy in Morris County. Inline vasectomy simple, quick, and easy.
I got nervous prior to the appointment today as I plugged in his address into Google Maps and saw two negative reviews by Mike and V. Bono. Although I sympathize with Mike for his infectious disease issue and with V Bono for his physical therapy needs I don't see how arriving at the wrong "TYPE" of doctor has anything to do with Doctor Youngren's skills, competency, or talents. He is a specialist and great at what he does.
Don't take your washing machine to a car mechanic. He is a competent urologist and possesses great social skills and excellent bed side manner. He takes time to hear (and respond to) your questions or concerns no matter how absurd. My primary care doctor is a great doctor to see and he did a proper referral for me. I'm sorry that V Bono and Mike didn't have as competent of a primary care doctor.
Without disclosing too much lets just say I don't respond well to stress. Thanks to Mike and V Bono's willingness to share and be vulnerable I had a moment of hesitation. That's a real compliment by the way. There is no problem with pausing and reflecting before making a major life decision. I just wish they would have had more relative comments to make. In my experience I totally freaked out, like mental - and the good Doctor not only tolerated me but he accepted me for who I was and did an excellent and mindful job despite extraordinary circumstances - when it comes down to it there is nothing more you can honestly ask of another human.
We all react differently to stress. And I wouldn't wish this on the good doctor but if it's a role he embraces I could understand if he developed a reputation for being a gifted health care provider of atypical patients.
He's already shown to me to be a great urologist and a thoughtful and authentic human being. Oh yeah - one more thing - I do have to wait three months to get the all clear but anytime within that time I can call and speak with doctor directly. We all have to do the best with what we have in extraordinary circumstances. I'm hoping Mike and V Bono will reconsider their one star ratings. I think if they get past their suffering and become intellectually honest with themselves they will see a one star rating is completely unreasonable and unwarranted.
If for some reason I have to have a second vasectomy it will be with Doctor Youngren again.report this review -

my name is Vince Bono He did alot of talking but no action. HE explained about pelvis pain, but did not really know about it, prescribed this really weak relaxer, and said come back in 3 months. 3months? never looked at blood work nothing, after 3 years im now 100 percent, I learned everything on my own, with Phyical therpists, who saved my life and not one Doctor mentioned a phyical therpist. Thank you vb

Dr. Youngren explains everything make you feel very comfortable. There should be more doctors like him. I recommend him very highly.
