Our family had a wonderful stay at Dogwood Valley last weekend.
We attended the Zombie weekend and our kids (9,5) had a blast. The activities were well organized and fun. The staff was very friendly and had great attitudes. The boats were also available and our daughter loved trying paddle boarding!

About the campground (Tent Camping)
- The tent sites are a reasonable distance to the bathroom
- The sites are large enough to accommodate a large tent and dining tent and still have room for kids to play
- The restrooms were newer, very clean and free hot water showers (best camping restrooms I've encountered)
- Delivery of firewood and ice was quick and if you don't have cash they can put on your card on file
- Not many hiking trails
- Why they lost a star?.we requested a flat site and had one on a slight hill, not great when sleeping and kids around the fire.

We will most likely visit this park again, especially in the summer to enjoy swimming in the pond!

We're avid campers and really enjoyed our time here. Family focused campground with a plethora of activities. The grounds are clean, well maintained and plenty of mature trees offer great shade to most of the sites. We stayed at site 406. Look forward to returning next season!

Wonderful place for families! Activities all day long starting with a flag raising every morning at 9 am with Yogi and Boo boo! I can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff! Miss Karen and Ranger John were so good with the kids. Restrooms were clean and there were plenty to choose from. We had a blast!

We had a group of 10 people and stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. They have so much to do! There's a pond that is very clean, so clean that I decided to swim in it and I have a feeding tube and am only supposed to swim in chlorinated water, this water is very clean. They have boats and kayaks and round saucer things that float and paddle boards, and paddle boats, all on one side of the pond, the other side has a huge blow up air floatie thing that you can climb and jump on, and jump off ofthe pond is about 23 feet deep so you don't really touch the bottom. You are required to wear a life vest any time you are in the pond, which they provide them for you, there are plenty of racks of them at both sides of the pond. Using the boats etc is all included in the camping fee. There is also a water slide that goes into the pond, as well as another water slide that goes into an ending poolthere is also a regular swimming pool that is 5 1/2 feet deep at the deepest. There are hiking trails and bikes are allowed. Pets are allowed on a leash. They rent out their cabins but not sure of how many or the price. There are restrooms at both ends of the camp, the showers are VERY clean! The bathrooms are clean and stocked and well maintained. They have 3 washers and 3 dryers that work well, 1.50 a load, also have a soap, and softener dispenser with soap for sale. Their gift shop has plenty of stuff to offer just in case you forget something. You have to buy their fire wood at 6 dollars a bundle. They sell ice too. Very friendly staff. Family friendly. Highly recommend this place!!!

Such a fantastic experience for my whole family. From the time I booked our cabin until we checked out after our stay, the staff was amazing! We had never really camped before, and they made sure we brought all the things we would need so there wouldn't be any unexpected surprises or need to leave for forgotten supplies. The grounds were spotless, the camp store was stocked with anything and everything you can imagine, and the activities staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. I would recommend this resort to my family and friends and anyone looking for some time away with their family. My kids never once said they were bored and their mobile devices sat unused the entire time. The owners personally greeted us and made us feel right at home. We look forward to trying to find an open spot again before the end of the season. Definitely book ahead because this place is very popular and fills up quickly!

I had a terrific time at Dogwood Valley, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. As novice campers, we wanted to find a location with activities and a clean, cozy environment. We found this and more at Dogwood Valley. I highly recommend Dogwood Valley for memorable family bonding, and time to unwind and relax. Thank you for an amazing experience. I definitely am looking forward to our next trip!

Our family absolutely loved staying here! SO MUCH to do with many choices of activities throughout the day. Kids loved meeting Boo Boo and Yogi. Wish we saw Cindy Bear though, I'm sure all the little girl campers love her! Staff was extremely nice and always helpful. Bathroom areas are clean and campground is very well maintained. Definitely coming back!!

My family and I tent camped for 3 nights. The sites were pretty level and big enough for 2 large tents and a canopy. The firewood we purchased was hardwood and didn't seem to burn up quick and for $6 a bundle pretty economical. Bathhouses were clean as was the rest of the campground. We enjoyed how bike friendly the campground was, and biked everywhere.
Kids (11, 10 & 10) really enjoyed fishing (hotdogs worked great as bait), the boats, swimming in the pond and the pool. We also walked up the creek which was a huge hit. It helps when activities are included in the price as not to nickle and dime families during their vacation.
Other than the mother racoon stealing our bacon from our cooler and the rain we had a wonderful time and look forward to camping here again soon.

No outside firewood allowed, this is a turn off. Lots of golf carts running around. Most of the staff is very friendly, though the lady that checked me in was not. Bath house was very clean. Lots of water activities that are fun, but the pool is super tiny. The lake is great with a giant floating waterslide, kayaking, fishing, a big mommy dock with chairs, and it's dyed blue. My big complaints are the no wood, and no one emptied the sewage tank at my site before we arrived. I actually overflowed it, totally gross. They took care if it right away, but it should have been done to start with. It was a 250 gal in ground tank and I was there 3 days, I dumped my 50 gal grey tank once mid stay and while leaving it over flowed.
SO for the price, in my opinion it should have been better, AND no outside wood is B.S. and a sale entrapment. "Protect or trees" is the claim so they sell wood at the store for $6. BUT the water stuff, kids program, helpful staff, and pond are all super fantastic.

I stayed from a Thursday to a Sunday and they were the best camping days I've experienced. there are a lot of places to walk and swim and I promise you will not be bored! So many fun and amazing activities every day! Definitely going back next year! cabins already booked and everything;)
