Why are people living at a campground?
Better yet, why are criminals living at a campground?
Look at these two faces. They are stealing from their neighbors, along with a female accomplice. Recently they broke into a home nearby and stole items. They both have a long list of criminal records, yet they're all allowed to reside at a campground.
Ridiculous.
I hope everybody else living there and camping there feels safe.
Jack Miller JR and Robert Debord are residents at this campground.
Nice & quiet
My perception of the residents were all very pleasant and the staff was polite. There were several affordable campsites for sell with reasonable annual dues. Most of the amenities are in some disrepair but basically functioning. Unfortunately I can't recommend visiting this location to camp though. The limited number of guest spaces are mostly on steep graded hills next to a frequently used camper sewage dump with no shade. There was a bathroom right next to the sites but the only shower house was far away. Of the 10 guest spots there were only picnic tables for two of them and a fire ring for one of them. Of most concern was the electric at our site. It consisted of a non GFCI unshielded, ungrounded black & white wire ran to an exposed outlet covered with electrical tape dangling loosely off a wooden steak with no electric box around the outlet but an electric box above it that didn't have a punchout for the wire so if fully closed it pinched metal on metal over the wires. As far as customer service goes, we called three days before arrival to inquire if they had a pool and were told they did. Checking in we worked with the same person that we had spoken with on the phone & she informed us the pool was closed while some concrete repairs were curing. She stated she had forgotten about that when talking on the phone and I do believe her but after her mistake they didn't offer a discounted rate, complimentary firewood . . . nothing at all.
A couple weeks ago, I purchased a lot in Hidden Lakes. Yesterday, I closed on a trailer which will be moved in next week. I found the staff EXTREMELY nice and accommodating. They already seem like "old friends". There are several nice lots left right across the street from me - at very reasonable prices. Some are water-front. If you enjoy beautiful surroundings and loving people, come and join us!
