Great launch. Two docks split the launch into four bays to launch boats. Tons of parking.

Great place to go and mountain bike or take the dogs for a run. After Labor day, the place is empty. Nice boating also. Docks get pulled out mid November.

Great place to go for a picnic. The day use area is located on a pennisula of Gun Lake. There is ample parking and lots of options for the perfect backdrop to your day at the lake. If you visit on a hot sunny summer day it can get crowed and finding a picnic table becomes a challenge. The lake is fairly shallow and the bottom ranges from sandy in the swimming areas to rocky and or murky in the more secluded spots. Being surrounded by homes and with a few public access boat launch sites the lake can become a busy place on peak days.

One of the better State Park areas in southwest Michigan. Camping, boating, fishing, day-use, biking, hiking is all excellent. I really like the lake - very irregular shaped so there's lots of inlets and such to fish and explore. My wife visits here twice a year on an overnight trip for team building. They stay in really nice lodges on the property.

A great place for the little ones. Swimming area is very shallow. Kids can play in the water and swim without fear of undertow or being in over there heads. Of course they still need to be supervised, but I feel a lot better knowing that there is a huge well defined area that is less than four-ish feet deep.

First time taking my kids to this beach and we loved it! It's not like Holland or Grand Haven you don't have to worry about carrying your little ones in hot sand for a long time. We loved that it's mostly grass so you can bring a wagon or stroller, lake is very shallow so little ones can play in just fine, they have daily rental boats, a huge blow up water slide with a daily all day pass or a season pass, dog friendly with leash, lots of picnic tables.

The facilities are really nice, but note that alcohol is not allowed. Personally, I appreciated the dry park. Especially because there were so many boaters. Lots of kiss, but vee y quiet at night. We rented the pop up camper they maintain and it was great. very crowded camp ground though. The beach and picnic areas were nice, but it felt like they have a lot of land that is just mowed grass.

I love it here! Lots of stuff to do. Besides Boating on Gun lake, there are Several Awesome kayaking lakes, clean and clear can see the bottom in most any lake chosen. No large boat traffic allowed on the smaller lakes makes it excellent. I live the small islands. And Great fishing.
The 11 mile MTB trail and 2 mile warm up trail, are Good challenging and well groomed trails. Parking is next to Ranger station, I like that.

One of our favorite places to getaway for the day at the lake. It has nice shady areas as well as open too. Lots of picnic tables makes it even better on a crowded day. One of the nicer State Parks. I do wish it had a bigger playground for the kids. I think all they have are swings. They have an inflatable waterslide for an extra cost and a snack bar during the day.

If you like water then this place is great to camp at. Very busy but for good reason. Good walking areas. And fishing from boat or shore.shallow beech for the kids and staff is very nice.

I like it! 13.5 mile test. Has good parking, change room, outhouse. Watch out for some sand, overall, very good mountain bike experience although signage could be better when the trail offers choices.

We just camped here for the first time this last weekend! We were right across from the lake - amazing views! The water is very shallow so you don't have to worry about young kids so much! Cute little beach! Would definitely come back! Me, my husband and kids loved it!

A great place to take the family camping or for a day trip. Living close by, we will make evening trips for a picnic, swimming or fishing off the dock. This is a great place to go for Fourth of July fireworks too.
