The shower was a bit disappointing. The water pressure was very low. The water temperature was inconsistent and it took a while to get the temperature not scalding or cold. After a seemingly consistent temperature, the water would drastically turn to scalding when I assume someone flushed the toilet in the building. I understand there is construction going on at the hotel, but after a long night, I really wanted a normal shower. Everything else was as expected, or not used. I might try again after their construction if finished.

We loved this hotel. We felt safe and it was quiet. The Thanksgiving buffet was wonderful and we had a balcony to enjoy the beach view. We could also walk to the beach in just a few minutes.

Went here to have dinner with family visiting and it was such a wonderful experience. Great food and nice outdoor seating area. Happy hour menu was pretty great too! We also stayed 2 nights and the staff was amazing! They upgraded us for free to one of the cottages. One of the best stays ever. I love this place!!

This is a great overnight stay. The rooms look recently remodeled, so even though the building looks older the finished are really nice. Large shower, comfy beds, and reasonably priced yet tasty room service breakfast. Walking distance to the beach! Just be aware that there aren't elevators, so ask for level 2 if you can't use stairs.

Why would you rent rooms to patrons where the A/C doesn't work on Labor Day weekend ? They KNEW the entire building was having A/C trouble. They initially lied and said it took 15 minutes to cool off. No.

Then the toilet didn't flush. There were no towels at the pool.

I would recommend STAYING AWAY from this hotel.

Great hotel! Staff was super friendly, great location, very accommodating to our needs. We booked last minute and they were ready by the time we got there. Front desk staff was very helpful and helped show us the best places around town. When we we're checking out there was an odd man loudly complaining about the room and some noise (of which we heard none) the staff remained composed and polite through the entire interaction and with myself after he left. All in all great place to stay 10/10 would stay again

The location is great. Right across the street from the beach! The downside for us was the room was on top of a reception hall where there was a wedding. They provided ear plugs, but it would have been nice to know before booking. There are only 3 rooms above the hall like ours, so the others were probably great. If the price seems too good to be true for an ocean view, you might want to call to see if there's going to be a wedding the night you're staying :)

We cut our stay short here. There's nothing particularly awful about this place but nothing particularly good either. They didn't seem to mind that we were leaving early and didn't ask why. The highway runs between the hotel and the beach. If you're a light sleeper it will keep you up. It seems geared towards people with cars - if you're on foot you'll have to walk at least 15/20 mins to downtown. Take the beach path as the most direct route is pretty ugly and busy.

The hotel has been getting remodeled over the past year. We usually stay here one night in June and it's always a good spot to rest. The ocean view rooms are too close to the highway, which might be bothersome to some, but it doesn't bother me. They provide ear plugs that can help alleviate the issue. The property has been designated a historical landmark.

Beds nice with lots of pillows. Quiet rooms. Nice service. But, no toilet paper after asking once and windows dirty.

This is my favorite place in the world to stay. I've been coming here with and without my husband for 44 years. While I'm a bit distressed at the current state of the remodeling and setbacks involved, it is still a pleasure to stay here. Yes, it is near the freeway. Yes, some of the rooms need updating. No, this is not a posh, impossibly upscale beach resort. But the comfort level is unparalleled. The beds and amenities are lovely. But the heart of the Pierpont experience is the staff. As another reviewer stated, the staff really does make you feel like a VIP: they are professional, courteous, knowledgeable and warm. I've always looked forward to walking into Austen's and getting a big hug from Angel. Everyone on the staff --from front desk to housekeeping -- is so friendly that I always feel that I've truly come home when I arrive at The Pierpont Inn! No place else gives me the welcoming, home-at-last feeling that I get every time I come to stay here!

When we arrived at the hotel, let's just say I was less than happy. I am a handicapped person in a power wheelchair. They are renovating their front desk space and were utilizing a side office space as the front desk. Unfortunately, the only way to the lobby was up 4 steps. The staff did, however, accommodate me by coming to me (outside). I was a bit abusive to the first front desk person I spoke with and he did not lose his temper. He was very professional and called in "back up". The following day we met with Stephanie who turned out to be very knowledgeable about the property and the services they provide. She noted my complaints and passed on the information. I failed to mention we were there for a weekend retreat (Thursday - Sunday). There was a considerable amount of interaction between our group and the front desk. Prior to meeting with Stephanie, we were introduced to a gal at the front desk named Dorothy B. I don't think Dorothy ever left the place all weekend. She seemed to be there and at our beckon call every step of the way the remainder of the weekend. Her customer service was unbelievable, like I would have been used to 20 years ago. She is an amazing staff member. She seemed to be as knowledgeable as Stephanie. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms are clean and the housekeeping department did a wonderful job. We were very impressed with Jesus as he set and reset the Pavilion room for us that we used all weekend. It is a large meeting room with nice large bathroom facilities. We will return next year. Thank you Stephanie, Dorothy and Jesus.
