Valery Webb is not the midwife you want to help assist you through your pregnancy. After having a conversation with my very distraught and first time pregnant friend I felt the need to write a review, because my friend is the worst about standing up for herself. As a midwife, it is your job to assist with and inform about the pregnancy and health of the baby. At no time is it your place to question the relationship of the parents and cast your doubt on their ability to take care of the child because of the length of time they've been together, and hint at terminating the pregnancy without really saying that. Even IF you did not intend to come off that way, that is how your patients receive you, and that is UNACCEPTABLE. You definitely need to work on your bed side manner and keeping your personal opinions out of your workplace.

Avoid this practice. Questionable billing and very rude and unprofessional customer service when you call their billing department. They have predatory billing and overcharge the patients. When you call them to get an explanation they will blame you and the fact you had preexisting conditions (which is not a valid reason anymore).
I will question all the service they provide at this place if they overcharge and steal from their patients.

I used this practice for all my prenatal visits and the delievery of my Son. Yes I was rescheduled a few times, but it was because the midwifes were delievering babies. I mean they are midwifes and babies don't announce when they are coming, so a person should really expect that to happen from time to time. I did run into a Doctor I really did not like, but he was at the Shawnee Mission location and I saw 4 of the midwifes and another OB here that really seemed to know their stuff and go the extra mile to make sure everything went smoothly as possible given my minor complications. Also the staff was very curtious and knowledgeable when I called into to ask questions which I was very appreciative of.

The provider I saw was very dismissive of my concerns and seemed like she wanted to get me in and out of her office as quickly as possible. If you want comprehensive, individualized care, this might not be the best place to find it.

Dr. Proffitt is the absolute best! He delivered both of my children. I am a high risk patient and he explains very thoroughly. He is very informative and has a GREAT personality. I recommend him to anyone for both OB and GYN.

I've been going to the Women's Healthcare Group for several years and have seen most of the doctors and NP's there. They are all fantastic. My experiences have all be very positive.

For the most part, I've never had anything but positive experiences with the nurse practitioners at this practice, they're all very nice! What I do have a problem with, is the rescheduling of appointments. Unless you schedule an appointment the week of, good luck getting it to stick! I would say 90% of my appointments made have been rescheduled, due to providers leaving the practice, or, in the most recent instance, made an appointment 2 weeks ago yesterday, confirmed appointment yesterday, and got a call today that she is not going to be in the office that day and will need to reschedule! This appointment is a follow up regarding a recent miscarriage, which I consider to be pretty important. Trying to reschedule is a nightmare. I workI have things going on. If I schedule an appointment, I've cleared my schedule to make it work. Not cool! Will be looking for a new provider office!

I see Hal (Younglove) and he's fantastic. Visits are like catching up with a friend, and his extensive experience is always comforting. Highly recommended if you like your doctor to be direct, upfront and casual.
