Always fun going to Wolff's. We particularly like going to the brunch, but night, of course, is fun too. Love the birthday boot of beer and the large screens showing lots of soccer games. Always a festive spot nestled in a quickly developing neighborhood.

You get more of a sense of what the Albany crowd is like as opposed to the college crowd in Albany. Very chilled out spot. Also, a soccer fan would love this place because they have soccer running on their TV.

One of my favorite bars in Albany. Great place to just hang out and drink some beer. They have good dart boards, a ping pong table and there's always some sort of sports on the tvs

They take credit cards now! I wish they had more than just German beers, but I understand the point. Food is really good--get a schnitzel-wich! And the fries here are some of the best in Albany

Good beer selection but it's not cheap and is cash only. They show all the soccer games. Seems like even when there are a lot of people here, it's not uncomfortably crowded. This is a good place to go for a couple drinks but seems like it could get really expensive for much more. I've been noticing a pretty steady police patrol in the area lately so it seems really safe at nightbut obviously get a DD.

Good drinks and atmosphere any most night. Brunch is a mess here. Food is tasty but ordering and delivering are deshelved. Never got the order right and got a refund.

Love the weekend brunch here. Much more chill than a Friday or Saturday night, kind of family-oriented. Great pancakes, unique wurst. Give it a try!

Wolff's is a quality drinking establishment, reminiscent of the Flying Saucer franchise down south with it's keen interest in German beers and cuisine. Continental flare meets casual sensibility in Wolff's vast collection of taps and bottle imports. Football football (as opposed to American football) is a favorite here, and Wolff's is known to open early and serve English Breakfast for key matches; a definite spot to visit while World Cup is on. No better place for hefeweissen and real bratwurst in Capital District.

Great beer selection and I was into some of the funky decor. There were peanuts and peanut shells everywhere but I think it added to the ambiance. We tried the soft pretzel appetizer and it was yummy!

Cash only, with an ATM in the back. This place will get very crowded depending on the soccer matches but they will almost always accommodate a less popular game on one of the TVs by request. By far the best environment to watch these games in the area.
Order drinks at the bar - a good selection of German beers on tap with some rotational American craft options, along with a selection of bottles. They also serve wine and have a shot-ski. The bartenders are usually busy but pleasant and helpful. Prices are a little high but nothing ridiculous.
Food is ordered from the kitchen counter, they will give you a post with a number and bring it out when ready (usually a little bit of a wait, depending on the order and the crowd). The Wursts are the highlight, but pretty much everything on the menu is good. While it is not especially tailored for vegan/vegetarians, there are a couple options. Brunch on Saturdays/Sundays is less German but equally delicious.
They also have tabletop shuffleboard, darts, and table tennis. For supplies to play, ask the bartender and be prepared to trade in your drivers license (or something valuable). The table tennis will turn into a normal table when crowded.
Lastly - if it is your birthday, you get a free 2L boot of beer. This will require a deposit in case you break the glassware, but otherwise it's a great perk.response / report this review -

Would be 5 star but bartender with tattoos needs an attitude adjustment, you don't push customers aggressively to get back the the bar you politely ask them to move. And then when I mentioned that to him he proceeded to mouth off. Very unprofessional huge turn off. Lost my respect.

Excellent beer options and pretty good German fare. I really like their fries. This place is self-serve (you go to the bar, you go order at the food register) so more for a friend hangout than a date. They have big long tables that you sit at with whoever is around. Free peanuts--you throw the shells wherever. Not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but good at what they do. They often have sports on, especially soccer games. When major games happen you will have to fight for seating and put up with a bunch of loud drunk white guys in soccer jerseys
