Did a tasting and talked with the owner for a little bit before taking a glass and a cheese plate out onto the patio too enjoy the sunshine. I enjoyed their semi -sweet wines a lot. Lovely place!
Wolf Gap Winery has amazing fields and fabulous landscape available for guests to walk along. The wines are of exceptional quality and the staff is very welcoming. Very laid back winery. Pet friendly. Sunset here is fantastic. Very relaxing patio balcony areas with great views of the farmland.
The wines are very good, across the board. Genuine owner and winemaker. Recommended.
While the reds have body and character, the bigger reds like cab sav were surprisingly thin. The Chardonnay was very young and acidic, but the tremminette blend was fairly balanced. Troublingly, it seemed as if the winemaker used old rubber hoses for some of the process in the reds and sweeter blends leading to a very off-putting nose like old hose and low tide. Happily, the blueberry wine was exciting, not overly sweet, and well balanced. A lovely summer or late fall treat.
Owners were amazingly friendly, wine was delicious (big fan of their Rosè) , environment/view was incredibleoverall a fantastic experience and I look forward to returning the next time we are in the Shenandoah Valley!
The wines are so yummy n the owners are so welcoming n the views are majestic n the events patio is incredible hint hint what an all around wonderful place
This vineyard has excellent views all around the second floor tasting room.
The vineyard and wines are a little young. They "fruit" their wines a little bit, but the Cab Franc with blueberries was very nice. They also have a nice blueberry only "wine"
