Waste Management has not picked up our garbage in more than 2 weeks! I called them on 10 separate occasions and spoke to 4 different supervisors. Each time I was promised pickup within 24 hours. The last one even said we were on Code Red and she assured me our garbage would be picked. It hasn't. All they do is lie.
My Trash is only picked up on time and without having to call and report a missed pickup around 35% of the time. Currently I am week 3 of waiting to have my trash picked up. I call every 3rd day to request the truck come and the very nice customer support let me know they will let dispatch know and it can take 24-48 hours for the truck to come and they never come, sometimes they will come on the normal pickup day but most of the time they don't.
This has just been my experience with WM. I speak with others and they have had no problems. Customer support are always nice and I think try to help.
I am disappointed because we have been customers and put up with a lot of mistakes and yet they still continue to raise our bill. Very frustrating! They missed so many pick ups at the beginning and even after starting up with them for a while and we never called and complained or switched like a lot of neighbors. Then we get our bill and they can’t do anything about it , as it increased 17 dollars! It’s just so sad how larger companies do not care about customers anymore! The drivers and the people that work there are absolutely fine. It is not their fault
Update: WM did contact me and discussed items 2 and 3 below. I still wouldn't change my 1 start rating. Below are the responses I received from WM.
2) WM said that the "Compliance and Business Impact charge is used to help them stay in compliance with regulatory costs and to maintain landfills." When I signed up for serviced the Compliance and Regulatory fee was never discussed. In my opinion it should be included in their operations cost and not billed back to customers. If WM wants to improve customer's option then get rid of the hidden fees. 3) WM responded that Due Upon Receipt means payment within 30-45 days. I Googled the definition of Due Upon Receipt and it means "payment must be rendered as soon as the invoice is received. Usually, payment due upon receipt means paying by the next business day at the latest.'" All I'm asking is that WM play fair with it's customers and don't try to bill us before payment is due. Go back to using specific payment dates please.
Disappointed in service. I wouldn’t recommend WM.
1) Trash not picked up and had to notify WM. 2) Additional items added to my invoice such as Compliance and Business Impact Charge. What is this? 3) Billing cycle changed without notification. I was billed in March and June as per the agreed every 3 months. I received a bill in August with a Pay Upon Receipt just 2 months into the billing cycle. I’ve been short changed a month. 4) When I signed up for service it was free to pick up the trash and recycling bins should I terminate service. Now WM charges $75 to pick up the containers. 5) Poor communication. WM has our email and phone numbers. If there is a delay in trash pickup customers should be notified. If there is a change in our bill customers should be notified.
Possibly the worst company I've ever has the displeasure of dealing with. After nearly 6 months AT LEAST of weekly missed pickups 90% of time, I've called (and held for 20+min) 3 times to get my trash picked up (and my neighbors). They informed me every time that they would be there that day (for 3 days). They also said they would now be taking up to 15 lawn bags as per WM policy. 3 calls in 3 days this is what I was told.
You can see how they left it today. They took 3/12 yard bags. They left one bag (that my wife watched fall out of the bin as they dumped it) on the ground. They left the bin in the road. Unsafe. Unprofessional. Unbelievable for a company accepting actual money.
USE SOMEONE LOCAL. This company isn't worth the garbage it collects on occasion.
