  Great canoe, kayak and raft rental place in Newaygo on the banks of the North Muskegon river. A little funky however, my kayak was missing the foot rests so the adjuster glides were useless.

  We just had an awful experience while at “Wisner Rents Canoes” in Newaygo. While this negative review isn't about them, per se, it does warn others about doing business with them, due to the neighbors.
  
  The company has inadequate parking and inadequate signage. Our cars (three or us) weren’t just ticketed while we canoed, they were impounded!
  
  I could understand a $20 parking ticket (which we also got) but this is ridiculous. It almost seems like collusion. And the impound lot is in another city 10 miles away. Each car was $187! And they only take cash!
  
  We discovered this after getting off the river and the impound lot was closed! We are an hour from home and stranded and no one cares!
  Is this a scam? Are the neighbors in cahoots with the towing company?
  
  The City of Newaygo should be ashamed! People come from all over to do business in your town and fall prey to these predatory tactics.
  
  We just got our vehicles after spending more than $600 and are headed home with nothing but bad feelings about the City of Newaygo, Wisners rents Canoes, the Newaygo Police Department, Jerry's Towing, and the neighbors near them!

  Absolutely awesome staff! They drive you up the river and you float, kayak or tube down! Includes your floatation devices and paddles in your rental. Highly recommended! It's family owned and they do not overcharge. Great group rates too!

  Can't really say much, but this is a great place to rent stuff for rides down the Muskegon River! Nice staff and fair prices!

  Beautiful river..congested with too many people to make it a peaceful experience. Young kids working for wisner lack professionalism to a certain degree.
