  cant get them to fix or do anything around here. I hate it. have to fight to get stuff done

  I am a current resident at windsong apt in lakecity florida we have a 3 bedroom apt with washer and dryer, well first we dont have a washer and dryer yet ive been waiting on them since i moved in and i havent gotten them yet and as far as i know i still gotta pay the fee for the washer and dryer this month,2nd the ac and heat doesnt work so mother nature chooses what temp it is in your house and you just have to deal with it or constantly complain to the apt manager just to have you end up quietly leaving to return another day 3rd there are roaches, 4th a sewer problem that leaves the complex sooo smelly, there really are alot of problems goin on here that no one will fix but while you are signing lease papers they tell you its all going to be perfect just about the most unsatisfied tenant windsong has to offer and i had such high expectations on this place but now we got to go!!

  Someone tried breaking into my apartment. The door handle was literally about to fall off. I called for someone to come fix it and the lady's the front office told me she would put a work order in which they will get to later that day or the next day. "the next day"
  Someone could have got into my apartment and they honestly did not care at all. She said they had to go in order but my call was an emergency. Windsong does not care.

  Windsong is known to be quite a mix of people; unfortunately and predominantly, crowds with some violence, disrespect, drugs, and parties. I'm sure there's parts of the neighborhood that are more desirable than others; I've been in some apartments that were well maintained and felt like home, and some others that didn't have electricity on because the tenants wouldn't pay the bill and would run an extension cord to the neighbor's outdoor outlets. So, it's what you make it, and it's what your immediate neighbors make it.

  Current tenant and its not worth the headache or the price something is CONSTANTLY WRONG or needing to be fixed then the maintenance are always "swamped" so make sure your persistent it might take. 30 days but trust and believe if that rent not paid on time they want those fees .. What you see on the outside is NOT what you get on the inside . I could go on and on,but I'm just going to sip me tea

  I moved here knowing the type of area it was, and also knowing what I could afford. Windsong is by far NOT the worst place I've lived. Yes, it is a low income complex. Yes, there are a lot of kids. Yes, there is a lot of activity that goes on that I wish did not. There are many residents that don't take care of the area. Some throw their trash right out of their car, or their cigarette buds right outside their apartment door. But there are also some residents that pick that stuff up as they come across it. I promise the good neighbors outweigh the bad! For what the cost of living here isI got exactly what I expected. It's not 5 star by any means, but it's really not so bad.
  
  I've never had issues with noise. Everyone around me has been friendly and quiet. The most noise I hear is from the kids playing outside on the weekends. Maintenance is always prompt to attend to any issues. I had to call 4 times in the first week I lived here (for minor things like replacing smoke detector batteries, etc) and they quickly came and took care of it. The office staff did not get annoyed by me calling either, even though I anticipated that they would.
  
  As far as the actual apartment itself, I only have a few complaints. One being the old smell that the building has. I loaded my apartment with air fresheners because the smell is terrible. The second being the awful linolium flooring. They should really consider replacing it because it is very worn out, stained & damaged. I also don't like the hot water heater being in the master bedroombut I guess they had to put it somewhere.
  One big pro I have about Windsong ismy electric bills haven't been crazy. For being an old building, I expected a high bill because I use my air conditioner like crazy! But it's always reasonable.
  
  Bottom lineif you can afford better elsewhere, then by all means go. But if this is what you can afford for right nowI promise it's not bad at all.
