This is the most undependable place! Our dog was hit by car (who was already a patient at this hospital) at 5:00 pm one day, we live right down the road, we were in the car 3 minutes away at 5:15 pm. While driving there we were on the phone with the receptionist and explained the situation and told them we were on our way. Her response was "We don't have time to see your dog, the vet is heading in for his last appointment." They were't closing for another 45 minutes and our dog had just unexpectedly been hit by a car, we asked again if he could just stay to look our dog over and make sure he was ok or even a nurse maybe. If you are truly in this business to help animals, then you sure fooled me. Clearly they are not reliable unless you schedule in advance for your dog to unexpectedly get hit by car.

Unfortunately a few years ago our dog was extremely ill (also a patient at this animal hopital) and we thought he had a stroke, he could not move at all. We called in to this same animal hospital and they were open, but had no appointment times available to see him so they would not see him. A few days later our dog died. Its such a shame because this place is so conveniently close to our home for emergencies, but key word is "emergencies" which usually are not preplanned. So if you are looking for a reliable and caring vet to go to this is most definitely not the place to go. Clearly these people are only here for a paycheck not to help peoples loved pet family.

This is the best clinic I have ever been to!! The staff are all smiles, and can pronounce your pets names! The care for the animals is palpable, and mine are always put at ease!

Vet was very personable and the girls at the front desk were very helpful and nice. A little pricey like most Fort Wayne vets but I'd pick this one over any of them!

I always loved taking my kittens into Westside Animal Hospital. The staff here always took care of them while I was away or were gentle and very friendly when coming in for check ups. The cats always seemed to love coming here and being pet by the staff as well. I highly recommend WAH. Great facility and veterinarians.

We love this hospital. They have been the first pet hospital I've ever dealt with and they are amazing. Nami, my chocolate lab, loves all the girls there and vise versa. One of the best things about them is everyone truly cares about every animal. So much so, the vet personally calls anytime she is on an antibiotic or after she got fixed. It's hard for me to say if they are pricier, but it's worth every penny going to them.

This is the best vets/groomers office I have ever been to. We had a fire in our home and I called the following morning to see if they would be able to take our two cats and have them groomed. They are not declawed and the groomer was able to see them the same day. The entire staff was so sweet and they even washed our carriers because they were also dirty from the fire and we had not been able to clean them yet. I cried in their office I was so touched by the kindness of the staff. The place was clean, spacious, and the prices were extremely reasonable. I will be taking both of my boys here from now on! I am very very impressed. Thank you so much Westside Animal Hospital!!! Thanks to you Connor and Murphy and happy and clean with no evidence of the fire. We are so lucky to have found you.

This place is amazing. When I got my 8 week old golden retriever puppy, he already had been given his first shots, so I called west side to schedule his second set, but before we even got to the day of our appointment, my dog jumped up and knocked coffee out of my hands, and licked it up from the floor. We had never even been into the vet but I called about caffein being poisonous to dogs and the girl who answered spent a good 10 minutes on the phone with me patiently asking my questions while I freaked out about my puppy. Then at our first appointment there, the staff was very friendly and didn't mind at all that Sam wanted to jump and lick all over them, and gave my 3 year old daughter a coloring book to keep her occupied during the appointment. Dr Khan told me multiple times during my appointment to call him at any times if we had any questions at all about our pup.
At our most recent appointment (Sam is now 5 months old), I accidentally came a day early. I thought I'd scheduled it for a Tuesday but it was really for a Wednesday. But when I got there, the girl at the desk said she knew it was probably a hassle to get both my puppy and my toddler in the car and over to the vet (it really isn't much trouble since I live about one minute from their location), so she went to ask the doctor if he could see us a day early. They got us in and didn't even rush the appointment at all! Dr khan once again was very thorough and even cleaned his ears for free (which there's usually a charge for) and told me again to call any time with any questions or concerns.

I agree with those who say it's a tad bit pricier than some other places you could go in town, but to me it's worth it for their excellent service.

I have been going to Westside Anmial hospital for over 6 years and they have always been very friendly and accommodating. They are willing to squeeze in appointments and care about your pets. They know how to make you feel at ease when you pet is unwell. All my dogs love Dr. Trapp!!!

We have taken our pets to Westside Animal Hospital for many years. We have been through good times and bad, and the Westside staff has been professional and supportive at all times. Top notch Vets, techs, and front desk staff!
