I would highly recommend Westlake dermatology. I look 10 years younger after my visit with Dr. Flynn. He is always caring and attentive to my concerns.

It is always a pleasant experience to go to Westlake Dermatology for my 6 month checkup. I know I will be seen on time and usually ahead of time. I have never had to wait for an appointment. From the front desk to the checkout desk, everyone is very friendly. Dr. Flynn is a top notch doctor. He has lots of experience and can diagnose things going on that you never suspected. He is also fun to be around. I give them 10 stars!

I came in to see Dr. Flynn and I cannot tell you enough how satisfied I was, I grew up with no issues with acne but recently at the age of 26 I found my self dealing with cystic acne nothing too serious but definitely noticeable that always brought my self confidence down. Dr.Flynn took the time to to teach me new things I didn't know about about my face , what to use what not to use etc. He then perscribed me on a medication that is gel based , I was worried I was going to have to start some hormonal treatment like most doctors percribe right away! But no he examined my face looked at it carefully answered all my questions and told me how I can make my face better with very easy steps. I am 3 days into the treatment so far it's not a lot (treatment is for 3 months and will need a follow up after I finish) but I am confident I will get through this mostly because Dr.Flynn made me feel very good about my situation. He knew what he was talking and on top of that he was so friendly! Thank you Dr. Flynn! I would def

Nice staff however this is clearly a high volume operation primarily concerned with money. I am a transplant and am used to my specialists contacting my insurance company and verifing what is covered. During my visit I would be made aware of my out of pocket costs. This is not how Westlake Dermatology operates. My first visit I walked in and paid $75 immediately upon arrival. I received a cryo treatment on a spot on my face that cleared up nicely and I scheduled a procesure to remove a cyst. Upon arrival for my second appointment I was told I owed $67 from my last visit, which was strange because the procesure was for a pre-cancerous lesion. Something seemed strange so I asked what the out of pocket costs would be and, in short, began the 2 hour run around I was given. I sat in the room while the Dr showed the office manager what billing codes he would use then she had ME call to see what they would cover. Ultimately I left without having the procedure done. The lengths the office manager went to avoid calling Humana were troubling. It is apparent now they do not order pre-approvals so if you want your insurance to cover your minor or major procedures I would recommend going elsewhere or be very diligent that your procedure is covered.

Dr. Flynn is a very well known dermatologist throughout the medical community. He is the most credentialed dermatologist that I could find. I relocated to San Antonio and still travel to Austin for care just for Dr. Flynn. I would recommend you see him if you're in need of a great dermatologist!

Dr. Flynn and his staff are really amazing. They make you feel welcome and comfortable. Going the doctor can be an ordeal, especially with a dermatologist. Skin cancer is on the rise, among other ailments. Dr. Flynn has always been cheerful, funny, and always has a positive vibe for everyone. He makes me laugh, and I enjoy his banter. I go to the location up north, in Renaissance, by St. Davids. He and his staff are the best, and so are the beautiful ladies up front, whose cheerful smiles are warm and happy. For once a doctor you like going to see, right?! ;-)

Very nice ladies that work at the front desk and nice nurses! I cannot speak on Westlake Dermatology as a whole, but if you are wanting anything done for your acne do not go to Physicians Assistant Debra Gauthier. She was very kind but she honestly did not know what she was doing at all, and I am still paying for it figuratively and literally. Not to mention she talked me into letting her freeze off a couple of bumps on my skin and failed to tell me/ make sure I understood that it was a cosmetic procedure that my insurance would not cover so it would cost a lot of money. (I am a young 23 year old woman so that was my first experience with a procedure of that nature) This was very upsetting to me because I felt she was just trying to get my money. Also, it was almost impossible to reach her over the phone when necessary. Which was extremely inconvenient considering I was on Accutane and had to have constant interaction with her. Being someone who has dealt with acne and multiple dermatologists since I was a teenager, my overall experience with Debra Gauthier was stressful and costly and I do not recommend her.

I've been going to Westlake North for a couple of years. My experience with Katie was always great. Yesterday I had a new doctor named Dr. McCarty. She was awesome. Very attentive, and results were perfect. I highly recommend!

Went in for skin problems. Diagnosed with contact dermatitis. Gave me a 3 week long prescription. Once off the meds, problem reappeared. Called them 4 times to ask for a return visit or renewal prescription. Got one call after 3 attempts. Said doctor was out. Would call me next day. One week later, still no callback. Left another message. 4 days later, no call. I'm done with them. They didn't fix the problem, now they won't call back. I paid cash money for the visit. What a joke. I'm switching to sanova dermatology. Through with these guys.

I've spent $1400 here, and kept my mouth shut for a while, until today because I didn't want to be that jerk that instantly jumps on here and freaks out. But, today left me with no other choice.
I have had 2 syringes of Juviderm injections into my lips. My lips were really thin prior to this, so after about 6 months, I decided to go back today and get a third one. I had been out all night, tending to a friend in the hospital, and my body felt bloated, as it usually does with a lack of sleep and beer consumption. When I spoke with my Dr., she explained that she's not going to give me even close to a full one. Instead, charge me the full $750 for a little tweak on my top lip. This was upsetting, but I let it go just to hear her explanation as she rudly and abrasively "let me give you a lesson in anatomy, okay?!" And proceeded to harshly explain her reasoning. I then just asked to leave because she wasn't understanding that my lips looked very puffy, especially with the numbing if agent on there. If my lips looked like they did on that office, all day long, id be happy!

This isn't the first encounter with he cattiness. The front office secretaries are always rude and short with patience on the phone, they looked at me like I was an alien when I paid with cash, and the nurses always have a shadow student in there watching as you get injected. :( they also told me on the phone that if I didn't use a full syringe, they'd keep the rest of it for me, later. Which I found out was a lie.
