My cat had an intestinal prolapse (insides on the outsides! Bleh!!) and a vet closer to home said our only option was to put her down. Dr. Julie was able to fix her up no problem! Very experienced staff and friendly atmosphere.

One time, my persion needed her eyes done,and they gave medications to my persion and put it on file,so every time I go it's very convenient,and for the children, there are cats that you can see walking around the store,and the service is awsome

I started going to West Akron Veterinary Clinic in 1992 when I had one dog. Over the years, I have had 23 pets. I have received outstanding care for them from the doctors and staff. Their compassionate advice kept me from becoming a hoarder. The reasonable prices have allowed me to keep my beloved pets and give them the best care possible. When my finances were stretched to the limit, Dr. Brown-Herold allowed me to make payments without interest as long as I made a payment every month. She is an excellent surgeon and has very fair prices. Once, when my cat was in heart failure and needed a procedure, she performed it for $17, when the hospital was going to charge me $500.

Last year, I found out within two months' time that my cat and dog, who were my heart, had terminal illnesses. As they got worse, I couldn't accept that they were dying, so I took them for a second opinion. Sue, the Office Manager, transferred their records. She and the doctors understood that I was frantic and were very compassionate. I received the same prognosis from the doctors who examined my cat and dog. Neither Dr. Brown-Herold nor Dr. Phlipot held anything against me and they both very lovingly performed the euthanasias free of charge when my pets' suffering was too great.

I can't say enough good things about the doctors and staff at West Akron Veterinary Clinic. They make each client and their pet(s) feel special. This is a rare and honorable quality in this day of rushed doctor's visits where a person feels like a number. At West Akron Veterinary Clinic, they care just as much about the people as they do their pets. Thank you!

I have been a client for over 15 years and have always felt that the care provided to my animals has been top notch. You will be hard pressed to find a kinder, more compassionate, knowledgable group of professionals. Whether it's an annual visit or an appointment to solve an issue, I have the utmost confidence in the diagnosis and treatment plan to follow. Life with pets can sometimes be a roller coaster and I'm so lucky to have the doctors and staff at West Akron Vetrinary Clinic on the ride too!

Asked them to do 2 specific tests and they chose to do what they wanted at my expense. Now I have to have my own vet redo the tests I originally needed. RUN AWAY as fast as you can.

The West Akron Veterinary Clinic and their veterinary staff is the best! Everyone in here is indeed cares about well-being of their patients and clients. I highly recommend this animal care center as one of the best in this area!
