It's a great place to hike or jog in the woods. The trails are beautiful and there are several boardwalks to help alleviate the often mucky terrain. The only downside, in my opinion, is the area is really muddy more than half of the time and several parts of the trail become nearly impassable. The standing water is prime breeding grounds for mosquitoesso if you're jogging, heyyou'll be motivated to keep moving. Odonata Pond is beautiful. My red-eared slider Gizmo lives there.

Love the nature study the nature walk the park the benches the atmosphere love the fact that most of Evansville comes here to walk not so crazy about the fact that they're charging $5 for now for the nature walk but I can see why it's worth it

This is a newly remodeled facility that houses animals, insects, and reptiles in a unique family friendly atmosphere. They have a bird viewing area inside as well with tours and other great things to do while you are there. They are best known for their walking trails and recycling center. It is in the back area of a larger park that makes a great weekend destination.
