I was there for 3weeks after being in the hospital. My stay there was amazing. Everyone was wonderful. The food was excellent. The staff works hard and they care. PT was very helpful for my recovery. I would highly recommend this place. Oh and the activities are great. Love my stay there.
Worst company I have ever worked for, the only functional part of the building is the house keeping and kitchen departments. The management doesn't care about there staff besides 1 or 2 managers and the DON and her assistant don't care about anything besides not having to leave there office or work the floor. My wife has MS and she had a bad flare up and so I had to miss work and all they had to say was to bad you're on the schedule be here which I couldn't because I had to take care of my wife and son so they terminated me big surprise there. Also the DON care so little that when nurses and aids said to send a resident out that was ill she refused and when said resident finally went out he was to ill and passed away it's a disgrace and the DON should face the consequences for it but she won't.
NO – NO – NO! Lack of WATER! Lack of CARE! Unprofessional – Understaffed – AWFUL experience & potentially INTENTIONAL NEGLECT! Nurse herself said they are understaffed to me! Nurse’s Aid literally used the word BULLY not once but TWICE to ME to say she will bully her patients (my loved one) into “doing what they want them to do”. Don’t be fooled by the beautiful facility. Our loved one had minimal care, minimal physical therapy, minimal WATER & FOOD entire 20 days of HORRIBLE STAY! Our loved one…
- went here to get 20 days of physical therapy and only received about 2 or 3! Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville is NOT providing services/proper care as requested/billed for!
-the facility’s system seemed like complete chaos. Not knowing who or when for therapy, if they've been fed, or recvd medicine, etc.
-had minimal access to WATER (the necessities of life)! Water machine still didn’t work 20 days later and when I personally asked a nurse/aid for water she only gave me a small cup of ice at first!
-Some nurses and aids IGNORED “the blinking light call for help button” multiple times. Our loved one fell twice (or more), once was hanging off the bed screaming & banging to get help, WE (many miles away) HAD TO CALL THE FACILITY OURSELVES TO GET SOMEONE TO GO DOWN AND HELP OUR LOVED ONE BEC NURSES/AIDS WERE NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO CALL BUTTONS OR INTENTIONALLY IGNORING THEM!
-our loved one was screaming in pain from LACK of receiving chronic pain medications properly!
-nurse’s aids would sometimes leave food too far from loved one who couldn’t even get out of bed to reach their FOOD! again almost potentially INTENTIONAL NEGLECT!
-another day our loved one still had not received breakfast even though almost 10am! And when it did come it was COLD!
-nurse’s aid literally took an oxygen machine from another patient to give a little oxygen to our loved one (admitting to us they didn’t have enough machines and took it from another room which was utilizing/needed it) THIS IS POTENTIALLY INTENTIONAL NEGLECT!
-found our loved one in a bed full of pee/clothes soaked up to neck = meaning nurses/nor aids changed diaper previous night or next morning because it overflowed THAT MUCH! MORE NEGLECT!!!
-isolated (ignored even more) our loved one after told tested positive for COVID even though all paperwork they gave us said all COVID tests were negative! (potential FRAUD!)
NEVER AGAIN! Don't be fooled by the beautiful facility, the care is AWFUL and potentially almost INTENTIONAL NEGLECT! SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED! This facility should be investigated for it’s potential INTENTIONAL NEGLECT & POTENTIAL FRAUD & “BULLY” lack-of-care workers!
