Food was pretty good, not fantastic. Service was unenthusiastic. Food came out pretty quick. Pies were decent. Good for a change of pace.

I wish I could give "0" stars. The service was absolutely deplorable. We first walked in and was told to sit anywhere we chose which was limited since most tables were occupied and the remaining were dirty piled with dishes and finished food. After sitting for at least 7 minutes with no acknowledgement of our presence, we were told we could not sit there and had to move because a party of 17 had reserved those tables. We politely moved and waited another 15 minutes b4 having our order taken. Waitress never welcomed us, asked if it was our first time, nor did she introduce herself. It took one hour exactly to get our food from ordering to table. Facilitating the food was not coordinated well at all. I watched it sit in the "ready" window for several minutes before delivered to customers. Fish was hot and unseasoned, onion rings and fries cold. 3 different servers paraded by our table and we had to ask for drink refills. Oh, did I mention party of 17 never materialized. Another couple came in and sit at the "reserved table" and were asked to move and they left immediately. We should have been so smart. Our ticket was brought to the table with a name card ha I assumed for tipping purposes she never asked if we needed anything else or if our meal was enjoyed (they could probably read my face) I'll never go back. Newburn's you are still number one on my list; Rhodesville Cafe, you are running a very close second.

Today, we experienced the absolute best meal we've had here in many years. We had not been here for a long time as we had just about given up on the place. Don't know if it's due to the new management, or a change in kitchen staff, or better quality food.but it was really really good. True BAKED potatoes, fluffy and light on the inside. Fish cooked perfect without being greasy. Well worth the visit and we look forward to going again soon!

We always love to go there,the service is always great,very friendly, an there food is delicious, an when you ask for extra crispy they always do them just right!!!
