I come here for the food, but my last visit to Mackinac I came here twice to eat and both times had to send back our food to get cooked how we ordered. Servers are friendly and attentive, if you have a moment I'd recommend looking for a gentleman named John. He's a genuinely friendly manager and bartender there and is great for conversation. We'll be back again.
Really nice and attentive staff, food is good and space is a bit cramp. I got the nachos as my lunch (which was way too much!) and they made them perfect! They actually layered the cheese and meat! So every bite was delicious. My daughter got the pulled pork grilled cheese. She loved it! I’d recommend anyone coming to the island try it out. Prices are reasonable too.
The food was decent, not spectacular. Standard pub fair. Service was friendly and helpful. They had some specialty beers and cider that my husband enjoyed.
There is no parking lot because on Mackinac Island there are no cars; the bar is wheelchair accessible although some tight turns are required. If there is a large party, you may have to wait as non-bar seating is limited, and I did not see any part of the bar that was at a level appropriate for anyone sitting in a standard wheelchair.
Bartender-ess was wonderful. Food was great. Be sure to check it out. They are staying open thru the off-season. Be sure to check them out!
This place was so good. We just wanted a quick breakfast the service was fast, food was great.
Nice interior and good service. The black bean burger wasn't that great though. It has a super mushy consistency and no seasoning. They were out of the sauce that came on it as well making it very lackluster.
It's a small location like many of the other restaurants along the street but it was only a short wait to get in. Our meal was well prepared and delicious.
We have been to the island a few times, and the Seabiscuit is one of our mainstays. The portions and the quality of the food has been really good. We had fantastic service on this most recent visit. We also appreciate the smaller seating area. Great value.
Great atmosphere, nice staff, good food.
My husband and I came here for my birthday celebration dinner one of the nights that we stayed on Mackinac Island. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly, we were seated immediately in a quiet part of the restaurant and were very impressed by their diverse menu. The decor in the restaurant is just spot-on for the time period, very warm and inviting.
My husband had the club sandwich and I had the pork belly Mac and Cheese (both were amazing!). We ordered the apple carrot cake for dessert which was just delectable! During our entire week-long visit to the Upper Peninsula, this was the ONLY place that did anything special for my birthday. Very clean and professional atmosphere!
I must say that Yelp reviews never disappoint me. This place is truly a gem on the mackinaw island. If you didn't Yelp ahead it's easy to miss but once you're inside it's definitely an authentic atmosphere.
The island feels like it's frozen in time and this place along with it. The service was on point. The waitress checked in with us frequently and even brought me extra hot water in a cute container for my tea. We had the breakfast wrap and southern brunch which were both delicious. The wrap definitely has more than two eggs!
Tip: get their rye toast and out some jelly on it. It's so warm and buttery! Definitely would come back
