Thinking about all of the non-towered airports I've flown into, Wauchula's services rank among the best.

The ramp area is free of potholes, easy to taxi in and out and close to the FBO.

The FBO is not a large building; I would call it a room. But, it is air conditioned (very important in the middle of the State of Florida in summer), it has wifi, a computer to check the weather and file a flight plan, two separate bathrooms, a small kitchen area, comfortable couches, a conference table and a drink machine. All-in-all, it is well appointed for an uncontrolled small field!

Self-serve AvGas is available right next to the FBO so you don't have to walk a mile between the FBO and the fuel pump - it's right there.

If you are a pilot flying into Wauchula, bring something to read or do if you have to stay on the field. It is blissfully quiet here and you should be comfortable.

Very small but quaint and nice. Everyone is very friendly. The bathrooms are very well kept. If you need somewhere to land or stop off and take a break I would highly recommend. The people there have a very cool gyrocopter and is fun to watch.
