Small airport that's typically very, very quiet. Not that many outlets, and not that much to do once you're waiting -- but still a more pleasant experience than most larger airports.

Three miles north of Sarasota and six miles south of Bradenton, is a truly convenient airport when it comes to flying, as it is not as enormous or busy, which makes it easier to get around. Security works in an efficient and timely manner, as TSA lines are not as long, compared to bigger airports. For local residents of Manatee and Sarasota County, Sarasota Bradenton International is your local stress free airport.

SRQ is my preferred airport to fly through in the Tampa Bay area. Flight prices tend to be reasonable, but the biggest draw is that this is a smaller airport meaning it's usually free of the long lines of irate travelers stuck at airline kiosks or TSA security checkpoints. The airport itself is modern, clean, and is plenty relaxing. Delta is one of the main carriers here, so it's easy to find flights near anywhere via an Atlanta connection. There's also a convenient shuttle service to help you get from your car to the terminal (or vice-versa).

Small & easy to navigate!! Beautiful inside!! Loved all the aquariums & beautiful fish & huge tanks!! Just a beautiful place to visit, u must see it if you're ever near Sarasota. Everyone is super friendly also. They all make u feel welcome even the security guards when u "accidentally" forget & leave your car out front. Thanks guys!! Not too big, not too little!! Just about the best one I've been in & that's saying a lot.

This is a small beautiful airport. Fewer flights in the summer than during the "season". Mainly through larger hubs lime Atlanta. Lines are short as not a loy of flights. Lots of parking close to terminal; airport close to downtown. Plenty of general aviation parking and FBO. Delta personnel very helpful and efficient.

Flew in from Michigan on Delta.
Getting luggage and getting out of there
is easier than Fort Myer and I always liked flying into Fort Myer!
Will continue to fly into SRQ over Tampa!

Small airport where security is easy to get through and you don't have to worry about missing your flight because of traffic in Tampa. Not much for food in the B terminals so don't come hungry. Rental cars are onsite which is nice.

Delta's 6 kiosk are all for carry on luggage check in only. Find myself waiting in line every trip now. Was much better before the change when those of us with checked baggage could check in and drop bags at the kiosk.
Edit--- Been about a year now. Still is terrible. That's the #Deltadifference

Each time I've flown in and out of this airport, it has been a good experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. The aquarium on the second floor departure area is beautiful.
