This is beautiful state park with camping, fishing, walking/biking trails, and horse trails. They have living history events happening every weekend throughout the summer. We live near this park and love all that it offers.

Fantastic Park with lots of wildlife. Great place for a weekend away with 90+ campsites available, as well as Williams Creek Lake which is 100 acres of great fishing!

During the summer months the free public beach is open. The park has historic sites and tours available through the living history program in the summer where the tours are provided by in costume guides.

The park staff is friendly and the State Park Ranger patrols the park for any illegal activities amd the safety of the public. All the staff are very approachable with questions you may have!

Wonderful visitors center, very helpful staff (thanks Amanda), and beautiful park. Hit the hiking trail and cool down at the visitors center. Very clean bathrooms.

Almost a 4 mile trail around a lake that is fully paved and handicap accessible. It is a nice walk! They have other things to check out if interested as well! A mill and some other buildings along with camping are a few.

Beautiful old park with a walking trail around a lake. They have a sweet holiday thing they do. The lake is nice for spring summer and fall boating. Hiking is nice there also the swimming area is nice but has had bacteria issues for the last few years. There are snakes here but they mainly leave you alone if you leave them alone. Camping is available and can be nice unfortunately it is located near the arm pit of the Midwest kaerney, MO is near by skip.it not worth a stop. Go directly to the park and enjoy your time there.

The campground is clean with plenty of space at each site and lots of trees for shade. The lake is gorgeous with a ± 4 mi paved biking/walking shaded trail surrounding the water. My favorite part, though, is the museum and historic site. I will be returning!

This was a great park. We visited on our eclipse trip. Lots of trails and a really neat museum about the mill and what life was like in post civil war MO. Wish the tours were open,but due to the eclipse they closed the tours. I want to return to see the fully operational woolen mill.

A beautiful State Park, which includes the wool mill, the Watkins home, and the surrounding farm. The house and mill are two separate tours, each taking around an hour, with one or the other starting at the top of each hour.

Both are well worth the time. The house is filled with period furniture and lovely architectural details. The mill is HUGE, and has the distinction of containing all of its original machinery, which is all very interesting to look at.

Allow 2-3 hours!

Really interesting park with lots to do. Great hike/run/bike 4 mile look around lake. Historic Mill and Residence. Campground sites are really nice.

We went and spent a nice afternoon on the beach. It's pretty well sanded. Not too crowded. The bathrooms are outhouses. I like the wall along the back. I haven't toured the Mill in a long time. We have been to the special events which are always a good time. This is a good place to take your family.

Nice park very enjoyable. Only has paved trail around the lake so food for bike riding running and walking. Not good for that real nature feel.

We love coming here. I'm not sure there are actually fish in the lake other than blue gill. The swim beach is clean and there are areas of shade on the beach. Plenty of grills and picnic tables and a fee (not free) camping area as well.
The historic mill offers free self guided walking tours or guided tours for a fee.

We love going to Watkins Mill State Park! It's very beautiful. There is a nice trail for walking or biking. You can even use a stroller on it! The kids love throwing rocks in the lake. There are plenty of tables and bbq pits. We haven't stayed at the campgrounds or actually been to the Mill, yet, but we love the park!

Great place to car camp. Campsites ranging from cement pads for campers to only grass without electricity for more simple camping.

Just show up and pick a site, the super helpful camp site hosts will be around to take your booking. Bathrooms are close to every site and very clean.

Nice walking trail around the entire lake with plenty to see. The historical buildings are a must see as the history of the area is very interesting and I had no idea how much went on there before I visited.

A wonderfully amazing place. Beautiful grounds. Lots of folk, including families were out enjoying the path. Some jogging, some strolling, others biking. A really nice place to paddle a kayak or canoe which is what I did on this visit.

Met a local kayak fisherman, Darryl, who told me this was one of his favorite places to paddle and fish in the area.
